Ok. I have been VERY patient. I have not, until this moment said a word of rant in furoms. I have held no grudge toward the Lindens and I trully apprieciated them sacrifycing their own New years so we could get back on.

It's day 3 now. I still cannot get on and I am now PISSED! If I see the phrase "preparing inventory" ever again I swear I will go insane.

This is really really bad. I know there are alot of Linden supporters out there. But come on enough already.

I got Everquest 2 for Christmas, I really wasnt THAT into it until 2 days ago when there was nothing else to do. I wonder how many other costumers have found something better to do and what are the Lindans going to do to make me want to come back to this piece of crap?

Hm, well, I was in last night for some time after the new update, and in briefly today, and I note now that the log in again seems slowed, and things get stuck on Prepared Inventory, but I'm not one to complain about it. I just wonder what is wrong =) That's all.

When your running a business, any business, and you have paying costumers counting on you to supply a service and you have to close up the shop for whatever reason, youd better have a plan B. Because this costuemr, and I doubt Im the only, is going to start doing her shopping at anotehr store.

The asset server is probably hosed. Keep trying, you'll get in. It takes me 2-3 tries every relog.

I was in last night til 2am, now the inventory thing again like the last few days. I would hope there is compensation for those of you that pay alot more than I do.

What makes someone with a basic account deserve any less compensation. We all deserve something, I dont knwo what, but somethign for this.

When you go to McDonalds and order and burger and a fry and the fries are still cooking, they always give you a voucher for a free ice cream or something. A paying costumer is a paying costumer. I don't care if the item I'm purchasing is'nt as expensive as Joe Schmoo's purchase, I still expect to be treated witht he same curtesy.

If the situation was reversed and Linden was unable to collect money, they would be screaming at the top of their voice. However when it is their problem that the program is unusable, it gets awfully quiet.

I think it is time we all stop and reconsider the benefits (if any) of paying our money to play a game online that isn't capable of supporting it's user base.

I wonder, should we all ask for a return of a portion of the money we paid because the SL system is no longer running as advertised. Or should we just drop out and spread the word to other gamers that SL is for the most part now defunct?

After numerous patches/downtime and the problem is still there you really begin to wonder. Seems like the whole thing is just caving in and as stated above LL really dont seem to have a plan B. I've rarely been online for 3 days now because as soon as I start crashing at preparing inventory now I just give the hell up, in fact I've already re-activated my WW11 Online account - at least I can play that.

Could be tricky...Could be tricky... Gonna taka a lot of buses to get us all there and even then they might not fit in the drive through. Might need to rethink the burger plan.

I was in earlier today, and even had a successful relog when i got stuck. But, for the past 1/2 hour I have been hanging on "Connecting to Region". I haven't hit Quit, since we were instructed not to do that yesterday...it sounds like folks are pretty much getting the same thing this evening?

Mobile Spawns, Paratroopers, New Ju52 Transport, other new vehicles!...and that was just in the Christmas Patch. How long have you been away from WWIIOL? Many things have changed for the better! Woot! S!

Champie (aka bigmilk WWIIOL)

edit: oh yeah, I was able to log in last night/this morning at 2 am..Other than that, I've been unable to get in. I'll leave the LL bashing for people who understand this stuff enough to sound condescending. I hope it becomes a NON-issue for LL soon(tm) <---wwiiol'ers know what I'm saying..lol

...and already got that much enjoyment out of SL altho I could go for that Happy Meal LOL. I wouldn't look for any heavy work to be done to correct this until after the weekend now, tho I have been wrong before, as I am sure they are trying to enjoy the holidays as those of us with families should be doing :D .

Several days of downtime where I work requires a good reason for outage (RFO) if not someone's head however. Actually, I have never been responsible for any server or service that was down for more than an hour or 2 tops. It should all have a DR machine somewhere with software ready to go or a real good contract with the hardware vendor. Or some Change Management in place to undo what was done to screw it up. And is there an SLA for customers at all here? There may be, I have never looked. It would define the level of service they have to provide for the customer.
