Eh, does this mean people hunting public land should refresh that page every second or so???
Maybe someone can tell me a less bandwidth-hogging method of getting that info fast? |

maybe LL can make an RSS feed Yeah, that was along the lines of what I was thinking should be done. Hiro had originally suggested that it be posted to a mailing list that you could sign up for if you were interested, which also is a good idea. Either way, it is a one-time push of a small amount of data to those interested. I appreciate LL's efforts here, but I hate to think of the load when a bunch of rabid land-hunters start refreshing that page repeatedly. Like me. ![]() |

SL should sell Ad Space on that page!! Geez, I don't know, Blaze: if I refresh that page 1200 times per hour, does that count as 1200 ad exposures???? ![]() |

These will be fun races to watch
! can see it now, land released at X Y in SIM X. Some avs will be running around in circles, bcause they don't know how to use the map very well. Then, there will be those buying at 16m at a time from 4 different corners. That'll make for a few shouting matches, "HEY I WAS HERE FIRST" or "So-and-so bought 32 sq m in the middle of my claim and now he wants 10,000L for it". I can see the "extorionist grieving" threads already. Furthermore some otherwise decent lots chopped up into checkers and diagonals and unhappy neighbors. But otherwise, Im glad to see LL "level the playfield" giving everyone a better chance at finding some good deals. _____________________

then pay up. Do I get a cut? Certainly! You get the entire $0 I bet! ![]() Seriously, I would love to know if it actually showed up on the page before or after it was bought. In the menatime, you can bet I will experiment with this a bit tonight.... ![]() Now, if I could only get SL to run on my machine here at work.... Eh, I would be unemployed within the day. |

Dalton is back after refresh and Clara is gone. ???? Yeah, that is what I am getting, now. Blaze, did you release more land, or is this system hiccuping? |
