I believe everyone is entitled to their own opinion. It seems there is an opinion police in action and when someone's opinion is not to par, the opinion police strike.

I do not agree with this exedus, but I am not going to say the man is dumb or needs to take his meds. He is entitled to his say. we can logically and objectively say why we disagree but meanness is not the way to go.

That assumes that the person is worth arguing with? You need to read his replies to well thought out posts and see the contempt which he holds for people with differing views. He summarily dismisses everyone else out of hand and thinks he can justify and negate every post with a quote from Mr Spock or some other irrelavent quote, or even more arrogant, a copied and pasted dictionary definition of some word or other.

Only when 'someone' says something crass like 'the masses want your money in the form of taxes so they can continue clubbing for free', you reply 'um, no' and they reply 'the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few' when in fact the masses and many are him and himself alone being greedy. But that's what he does. You can find numerous threads where when he realises that no one else supports his latest assertion he says that it was never his opinion, he was just speaking for everyone else.
