(Whats the betting people will whine about me putting this in the General forum? :p)

This is merely a notice of intent: my intent to press 'return all objects' and 'revert land' on Krittannia, thereby returning Second Life Heaven and Hell to Flat PizzaBox Island.

So if you ever wanted to see it, do it quick.

As to when, I dunno. Maybe today. Maybe tomorrow. Maybe next week. Maybe next month. Whenever my itchy trigger finger hits those buttons, basically.

Mebbe. Not sure whether the answer to my SL boredom is to start a new simwide project or sell up the sim and go do something else :)

I do have an idea I want to try tho.

:D *hugs* (how you feelin' today wheelie? Turn Yahoo on!)

It's been there more or less the same since last April, which is longer than most things in SL last. Time to move on. Or out. Not sure yet. But it's time to move :)

I allow you to use my idea of "Genitalia Island", let me know if you want more details on my ideas for this.

You did a great job on this, as did everyone involved. :)

I might fly in to take some screenshots.

Well, whatever you do will be fab, as long as you don't leave, I haven't stalked you nearly half as much as I want to :p

Hey Eddie :D

Actually... not entirely sure yet, but if I do what I'm planning to, your bit may well stay. fortunately it's all on a seperate parcel :)

I'll contact you anyway before I do anything - I promise I won't avalanche a ton of stuff back into your inventories without notice!

Could someone please post screenshots of Heaven and Hell at www.secondlifesites.com/gallery ... I probably won't be able to get in game to take them myself before it's removed.

If anyone hasn't seen it, do it!! It's an amazing build. I think partly what makes art so powerful is that it's fleeting. Can't wait to see what you do next Kris :)

heaven and hell are well worth visiting. it's hard to take it all in during a single visit though; so go now while you still might have a chance to go back.

thank you kris for coordinating such remarkable builds and for sharing them all these months.

if you keep fall and eddies areas, that'll be a plus to whatever you have planned for the rest of your new theme.

good luck with it all

Kritter, would you consider keeping it alive if we donated money to help offset your costs?

Naw, not really. I dont really see the point. It's been sitting there a LONG time, and the trail of visitors have trickled down to more or less zero, so I figure it's time is done. Pretty though it is, thats all it is. Time to recycle those prims :)

And tyvm, Khamon :)

Awwww...damn! I love heaven and hell ;(

Was just there the other day with someone that hadn't even heard if it and they were amazed! Was very well done, from the dark and fiery bowels of hell, to the multiple and beautiful layers of heaven. Plus we enjoyed the jetskis and the inviso-tube. And the lovely, organic conference/meeting area.

I am personally glad that this buid is being torn down, let me explain why.

Although Heaven and Hell is a very pretty (to be quite frank mind blowing) build I am very excited that she is going to give birth to a new creation, if Kris sticks to the same standards as with heaven and hell just think what is in store for us guys! We have something new and powerfull to look forward too!

So wipe those tears away people and kris, click that button and get started! I am really looking forward to seeing your next creation and thanks for having heaven and hell for so long!

I've heard on the grapevine that Kris is going to build a huge sex-and-tringo palace with naked twister boards. Also that there will be nightly orgies involving Fetid (and Feted) Inner Core types and Lindens.

I have it on good authority that there'll be a local government too, and that it will spawn a thousand threads before the week's out.

LOL!

As I think I said before, I'm more a member of the Bloated Outer Shell than any Fetid Inner Core!

As for Lindens, the only times I've ever seen them at my place was either to tell me off for conduct or ask me what the hell I was doing to their poor server.

Local government is a simple affair. Me and my mandate 'like it or fscking lump it'.

Backing up a bit...
02-09-2005 11:50
Is it possible for a sim backup to be made and kept for possible future restoration? Is that something that could be done for an additional fee?

Wouldn't it be nice to have a feature like that, so that when attendance drops you could swap out what's up and put in a different previous build?

I have been shown Heaven and Hell by more than one person (I didn't tell them I had already seen it, it was more fun that way) and shown it to several. It's quite impressive.

Oh yes folks definitely check this out before it goes down. This is one of my favorites of the islands. I love Hell in particular. Sad to see it go Kris, but I completely understand the creative drive to move on.

I had a similar idea to that just now. I would love for there to be a way to preserve historic and ambitious sim-wide builds like this and have them viewable if only temporarily in the future. Like perhaps one sim the Lindens designate as a "museum sim", which can be rented out for a time to rez a particular historic sim of the past. Sort of like a holodeck. People or groups that want their old sim-wide projects viewable this way could add it to some kind of registry. Then when people visit the museum sim they browse the selections and decide which they want to see, which is rezzed on the spot.

More fun than watching me build, I think we should have a sim derezzing party. Fancy watching 14000 prims spanning 16 acres over 300m high going poof? hehe.

Even more fun would be to turn the whole lot physical. lol
