For those asking about monitoring sim FPS stats and such, check out Chromal's excellent charting page: http://planet0.planet-zero.org/~chromal/sim_stats/ GREAT LINK. Um, why doesn't LL provide this information? How is this information acquired? I see no suggestion box on that site, but I would REALLY like to see this information all on the same scale. It is showing change over time, but its hard to compare how sims compare to each other when they are all charged on different scales. |

Well either the Lindens or Pete obviously got sick to death of the incessant whining. NOW we know what works! Let's see. What other problems are there we can "solve"? Gotta come up with something to do between now and when the next sunofabitch sends out secret satellites. |

They're gone now, so let's not go into senseless forum drama again. No point in arguing how good or bad they were, I guess. The whole point is that they WERE, and now they aren't anymore, so go on with your lives and wake me up when there's some NEW drama to read ![]() Yea, you're right. Let's let it all blow over so we can start over in two or three months with new and improved scanners and a new batch of noobs. That'll be great, I'm really looking forward to it. |

Has anyone else heard the rumors about the self-rezzing assimilation bots that Aimee has released to turn our avatars into her own private winged army? If this is true, it's outrageous, and I demand an investigation.
On a completely unrelated note, why do I feel so odd? ![]() _____________________

By the way, considering the percentage of the few defender of scanners with the objectively high number of people that attacked them i would definately doubt that the percentages would be 0.5% and 0.5%, but anyway an high percentage of the germans during WW2 didnt know about the existance of the concentration camps. Does this make concentration camps acceptable? Only the 2nd page of the thread and already Godwin's Law is in play. _____________________

Godwin's law is kinda worthless, expecially because it negates the evergreen principle of "Historia Magistra Vitae" that is quite more ancient, wise and established than Godwin's law itself.

I honestly don't know how we have managed to carry on this conversation for so long without SOME image or animation of the exploding head from the 1981 film SCANNERS.

It sickens me how LL can cave in to the demands of two noobs and a couple of very casual players who have done absolutely nothing for SL. What the hell are you talking about, Eggy? Not only did a ton of veteren players respond against these scanners, but they are still there. _____________________
