Of course behaviour is relative. It's relative to the person doing the behaving (or not) and how they perceive their actions, and to their peers and how they perceive it.

This is especially true of a community where there are no hard and fast written rules on such things, and where there is no law enforcement as such.

Even with the Lindens - each incident is dealt with with differing degrees of severity - and sometimes action at all - by Lindens who hold different views about the behaviour in question.

Read these forums. They are crammed full of people saying 'this is wrong because...' followed by discussions about whether it was or wasn't appropriate behaviour. Amazingly, no matter how clear cut it would appear to any one of us or even the majority on rare occasions, there are always people who will offer an alternative point of view.

We're talking everything here from IP rights and object ownership to avatar sex. Everyone has an opinion about these, and peoples behaviour in relation to these. A lot of them are different. A lot of them are 180 degrees opposing. If everything was so cut and dried as you seem to think it was, there would be no discussions of this kind, because we'd all know exactly what was acceptable and what wasnt.

It's yours and your group's opinion that what transpired was wrong. Fine. Then you can exercise your right to behave how you see fit as a reaction to that. But whether your behaviour is 'good' or 'bad' under the circumstances is entirely subjective.

At this point, we must agree to disagree.

I won't debate an issue such as this, when I know neither of us will be changed by it.

Therefore, I appreciate the explaination of your opinion, and I fully agree to the fact that you have the right to this opinion, I just don't agree with it.

Customers act like shitheads because they think they can get away with it. The proper response is to tell them to suck a fart out of your asshole. I used to work in a call center, and I know from reading case histories that we terminated a number of accounts because people become OH SO BRAVE when they are talking over a phone or a keyboard instead of face to face.

I was even there when one of my teammates chewed out this big stupid loser for giving our techs grief. It was the best.

That Octagieousawhazit also harrased my baby couple days after even ended up passing thru the store where I was getting my dress fitted for the wedding thinking he was "INVIVIBLE" Reguardless of anything Death said ingame about any skin color crap he is an HONEST giving loveing person..... I gave Death Grace his money back, because at the time, Otacon had told me in-game that he would not. Therefore, as a member of Slate I refunded his money so the Slate groups would not be looked upon as condoning what Otacon had done.
