Anyone else having problems accessing the site? I tried sending an email to support and it bounced. Seems to have been like this since yesterday.

Yeah, I noticed the same thing. Are they having DNS problems or are they going out of business?

Rathe doesn't appear to have been online since 4/22. Vacation, I hope...

Hmm... dunno.
But has anyone asked why the name MetaAdverse? Sure, it kinda sounds like Metaverse... but if you look at the word itself: Meta: beyond Adverse: harmful or unfavorable You end up with an advertizing agency who's name literally means it is beyond harmful to your business! (this is just tongue in cheek, as I'm sure the company is a fine organization and very good at what it does... except when picking names) _____________________

Rathe is a rather brilliant fellow. It should be a shame to lose this.
I wonder if he did all the development / specifications himself? _____________________

The completely unexpected has happened and unfortunately ALL systems related to MetaAdverse have been offline since about midday Tuesday. Of course this couldn't have happened a worse time since I am indeed on vacation, in Kauai until Saturday.
I brought my laptop along so that I would be able to maintain the site from here but unfortunately something really bad has happened, power or network failure. I've been unable to get anyone to fix it while I'm gone and I appologize sincerely to everyone this is inconveniencing. I will be working on getting it back online as soon as possible when I return on Saturday. If you host signs, please do not delete them, just be patient and they will automatically resume operations once the network is back up. Again, I'm terribly sorry for this downtime, I'm sure it has been very frustrating to some of you, and couldn't be more so for me. |

Turns out that a faulty router was replaced a couple days ago and according to the ISP everything "was working" but obviously it is not. ARGH! I'm working on getting the configuration fixed ASAP.

omg, that totally sucks. Glad you have it ironed out now... I've noticed that really bad things won't happen if you are around, they always wait until you are away on vacation.

No diving. I need to get certified! Wish I had time to on this trip. Doing plenty of snorkeling, hiking, kayaking, swimming, and body surfing though. The water is perfect!
My first vacation in a long time and of course everything has to break while I'm gone! ![]() |

Anyone who has used MA: What do you think of it? Is it a good sales driver?

Anyone who has used MA: What do you think of it? Is it a good sales driver? Way. I get folks in all the time that said they saw my ads, and wanted to check it out. I only wish I had the budget for *more* ![]() |

Anyone who has used MA: What do you think of it? Is it a good sales driver? I just recently started using it and it has done well for me. I have not yet really dug in and started to play with being selective over locations, but overall, I really like the service. _____________________

There may be some small bursts of outages continuing until I return Saturday due to most likely a bad cable. If you're unable to reach the site just keep trying and it should eventually go through.
I will be dealing with all these issues when I return and severely punishing whoever is responsible for breaking my network, grrr. Once again, sorry for the trouble in the meanwhile. Next time I'm out of town I will be making sure no one touches anything! ![]() |

I just started using Metadverse and it looks like it might a really great service. The only thing that's missing is a way to actually see my ad on a billboard. I've never actually *seen* my ad appear on any billboard. It would be nice to see some evidence to back up the claim that my ad has been seen hundreds of times.
Is there a report of when and where the ad is being shown? I don't mean to sound paranoid, but if I buy ad space, I should be able to see it. Otherwise, I'm just throwing money at something and hoping that it actually does something. _____________________

Cubey,
If you login and go to Advertisers > View Reports it will show you all sorts of nifty info on your campaigns. Hope that helps. _____________________

Also, use the script that he provides and you can get a list of people who have clicked on your billboard with a simple modification.

A preview method has been a much requested feature so I'm planning to implement a stationary previewing sign that will allow you to view any campaign on command without actually counting it as an impression. Will this be helpful enough for those who view their campaigns for validation?
