lol Just hang around the respective clubs.
I was just wandering around Club Vouge and got invited, that club is in one of the corners of DaBoom not entirely sure which. Then there's Elite Dancer, who's Club is in Federal. Very hard to miss since they've been buying up land and have taken a huge chunk of the zone with their club. _____________________

I have met many of the dancers from both Club Vogue and Club Elite. They seem to be some of my most regular costomers too (thank you for that!
) However, as a *direct* neighbor to Club Elite, it may be fair of me to warn you that the actions of a few of the members of Club Elite, has gotten the *entire* group banned from many events and locations. Many in the group do not even know this has happened. Also, random invites from some Elite dancers is done on a regular basis with no regard who they are inviting from a distance (think mass group invites of a diverse group of people). Just be wary and check out the reputation of any dance clubs you are considering. Actually, do that for *any* club you may consider joining even if it is not a dance one. And welcome to SL! ![]() _____________________

Club Elite has been an interestingly strange club. They've been buying up land in Federal for an already gigantic club, and pretty well driving out the populus from there. And yes, the random invites isnt doing much for them. If you're so desperate to join a dancing club, i'd shoot for Vogue, just dont expect to be doing the dancing straight off. _____________________

Yes Artemis... I want to elaborate too on my original post. I am lucky that even though I am a neighbor of this club, I sit on an island and was able to buy enough land around me that I cannot be "blocked" by this club (though there was a scary moment last week when it almost became possible).
I love Federal, and I'm not budging. And I'm able to say that because I'm placed in such a way that I can succeed whether the elite club fails or succeeds. Almost every one of the elite dancers that I have met are great girls. I have no complaints personally about any one of the dancers. The owner I know is disliked by a great deal of people, but he also seems to have friends as well. He and I are neutral with each other, with never a harsh word between us. The group as a whole though does have a bad rep, and I would just hate for those new to the game to have to go through bad experiences before you even get a chance to know all the good. This is me with my mentor cap on. I love you newbies!! hehe ![]() _____________________

Pendari, Pendari, Pendari....how can I resist posting in this thread now that you have spoken up, mi amor?
As the second largest landowner in Federal, I will speak about Club Elite as well, and warn you off of it. I will add the disclaimer that I am definitely biased against Club Elite, and would like nothing more than to see its disappearance from the SL landscape. With that in mind, here goes. First of all, I don't even think it is an actual dance group so much as a status symbol. They invite people to that group so blindly that it is rather sad. Every resident of Federal has been invited to it, myself included, which I just found hilarious at the time, and was happy to decline. There is certainly no training or preparation that goes into being a dancer for that group. Club Elite is now in its third incarnation (the last version was ripped down after the owner's girlfriend pissed him off. Here's hoping history repeats itself) and is obnoxiously large and the source of a tremendous amount of displeasure to the people who live around it. The building itself is bad enough, but it is the constant barrage of music and sound effects that are the worst part. Thankfully they are running out of new land to acquire, and I am not going anywhere. Club Elite has rightfully earned a bad reputation, while the ladies of Club Vogue have been nothing but professional in my estimation. Marilyn Murphy is very passionate about her work, and takes it very seriously. She is first and foremost a business woman, and approaches Club Vogue as a business. If you are interested in working for her, then you need to be prepared to take it seriously as well. So there you go. I am sure there are other dance groups as well - I may be wrong about this, but I think that Mistress Midnight also hires dancers for her club. She is also very much a class act, and you would do well to check out her place even if she is not hiring. Well before I go too far and post how I really feel, I will close this tirade against Club Elite. Cheers ![]() |

Tirade against club Elite?
11-18-2003 14:29
For those of you with a "Tirade" against Club Elite... I think I may have a few words...
I never knew that they were on this Forum till today... About this so called Tirade against the group, well... I find it funny... Why do you have problems with this group? Is it because they have bought alot of land? or maybe it's because you don't like the "music" that they listen to? And if this is the case? What difference is it of yours...? Do you see any of them posting things about the way others build their buildings... or the music that others listen to? what difference does it matter... The people that own Club Elite has "bought" their supscriptions to this game, just as the people who have a "tirade" against this group... So, I feel that they have the right to do what they want with their club... and if they have the means to buy land... then what is wrong with them buying it? And if you have a problem with Club Elite and its affiliates, then that is a problem you will have to live with... if you live anywhere near this "Club"... I have nothing against any of you... I rarely say anything to you... and if you get an invite from me to join this group, then there is no problem with you "declining" it... It's your choice... just like it's my choice to send you an invite... You guys are putting down this club and it's owner because of how his building is built and what kind of music he listens to... what is that saying about you? and what ever it is saying about you... are you happy with it? And if you are happy with it... then that is your choice... That's just the kind of person/people that you are... and if you choose to be that way...then "so be it"... that is how you choose to be... Anyway... my point of the matter is... It's a game... and people come in this game to have fun... If your idea of fun is different from other peoples idea of fun... who are you to downsize them...? What makes you so special? "Have Fun!!! " |

I've been in SL for about a week now. I happened to wander into Club Elite a few days ago and expressed an interest in dancing. (I've been wanting to try that, it looks like fun
So I went ahead and joined the Elite group when Tanya offered. Does this mean I'm now banned from a bunch of places in SL? That seems awfully unfair.I don't know about the club's owner, but Tanya seems like a very nice lady. Some of the nasty politics that I'm reading about here in the forums are starting to make me nervous. I thought this was just a GAME -- we're supposed to be having FUN here. |

Tanya, actually none of it is against you, but it is very much against the owner of the club. You are absolutely right, everyone has the freedom to do what they want in this game, and in that regard I don't have a problem. However, with freedom comes responsibility as well.
From the very beginning, no respect has been shown to any of the people who live around the building. First it was playing the same freaking Tupac song 6-7 times in a row, (which has now been replaced with playing the same "I can tell you want to f*ck" song) which anyone living in the sim can hear, even with sound adjusted. When asked not even to turn it off, but simply to play a different song, the owner's response was, and I quote "This is my f*cking land, I can do what I want, f*ck anyone else". That quote sums up why there is animosity against Club Elite. Other people live in the sim as well. This was then followed up by the coloring the entire club with a red light that discolored every building around it, to the point where one person had to change the design of their building because the light discolored the items she was selling beyond recognition. I won't even go into how I feel about some of the things the owner has been doing unrelated to the club itself, but the animosity is well placed, and none of it is actually directed at you Tanya. It all comes down to lack of respect for the people living around the club, and that is why people in Federal have a problem with Club Elite, and why many have moved. So yes, as you stated, you can certainly do what you want, but others are also free to voice their opinion about it. |

If you guys out to make us look bad and make ppl think we everything you talk about here then I got news for you. Most ppl that met us know we cool and we not out to hurt anyone and as far as land goes Cristiano Midnight is one that is trying to buy it all up and he just mad because someone else came along with some money to handle big part of land to own? As far as invites to group goes we meet ppl and then Tanya invite them to the group and then talk about how club will work to them. It is not like we force our group on anyone that don't want to be part of it. All we trying to do is make sure SL has another fun spot to hang at for adults. |

I never went around talking bad about anyone before or saying anything about ppl stuff but this has gone too far now. I'd been to your club twice, once when it was being built, I even complimented a few things then. The Second time was rather recent and near completion, I was hardly "Talking shit about it" I made a few criticisms, things I didnt like about it, like the red grid walls. Besides that, I came to investigate, people say entirely bad things about you, and I dont like to go off of others judgements of people. So I came to see if any of it was true. You seemed a bit stand-offish but overall nice (of course I couldnt hear any music at the time due to bugs). All you managed to prove to me with this, is that many of the rumours about you are true. _____________________

Hi Hi BigJohn Jade
11-18-2003 15:19
Well, i still think you Rock.
Cristiano is also very cool in my book and has some very beautiful builds in Federal. I'll need to get an invite to the dance club again because i left it when you had that problem that caused the club to disappear ![]() I love dancing in SL. Granted many may think its lame, or whatever, but to each her own. Club Elite is huge.. But there are other gigantic builds. Neil Protagonist has a build so large in Chartreuse and im scared to go in it for fear of something snatching me up and sacrificing me on some alter he probably has hidden in there. *morphs into Rodney King* Can't we all just get along? *dances* Briana Dawson |

Well Artemis Fate jukebox has 70 songs now when ppl was working on projects it takes time and sometimes things need to be play again to see if it works right. You want to talk all this shit about club and as far as this light goes not all use lighting support on video card so I Never know about it tell someone told me and when they did I change layout for them. So now whats up with you still running your mouth about me? I can give a f**k less what you think of me but because you don't like the club or group gives you no right to talk this shit about someone that you don't even know or talk too much at all. Club been a long project and I think it is coming along good now and it will be one of best adult clubs in sl as far as it goes down and don't make it sweetie. Guess what I got money and there is np at all making taxes on my land and objects. So guess what again? We here to stay and make club rock. |

Question? What is wrong with buying land? Isn't it a part of this game to "buy land"? Tell me now? Is there something wrong with it? If so, then why do people buy it? and is there some kind of rule that says, people can't buy a lot of land, and people can't have their buildings painted a certain color, and people can't play music? I mean... I hear peoples music all the time, does that mean I'm supposed to run here on this forum and talk about them? Is there anywhere in SL that says... "one person/group can not have a lot of land"? This is a conundrum... this mess... is it all necessary...? Nope! But to some...yes...I guess so...!
Again with the invites... lol If you don't want to be in a group... then, don't be in it... if you want to decline... then do so...it's your right... it's your choice... or Maybe... um... Is there something in SL, that says I'm not to ask people to be in groups either? God... I need the d**n rule book... Gotta catch up on these rules... I mean, lets see... I can't buy lots of land... and I can't invite people to my groups.... Come on people... what's the f***ing point... Can't you all just play your game... have fun... and if there are people that you think is not having the kind of fun that you want... can you please just go and find some that is having the type of fun that you want... instead of trying to rain on other peoples parades? This is just a game people... we are here to have fun... not to be told by people about how much land to buy and what music to play... We paid our money... and we aren't doing anything wrong... just not by your standards... and if you feel that way then that is you... I can care less about it... I love this game... and not about to stop cause you guys think we have to much land, and we play the wrong music... That's your opinions and you are entitled to it... So, have your say... and get it over with... cause we are not going anywhere "Either"... And...if someone chooses to tear down a building (which belongs to him) because he/she is upset... then they have that right... you guys really make me laugh... Man, never knew I was talked about on these forums... lol Glad, I'm not the type to "Give a Care" about what people say bout me... I mean, it's not like they know the "truth" do they? lol Anyway... again... have fun... ![]() |

It has nothing to do with wanting more land in Federal, it has purely to do with you not giving a shit about anyone around you. |
