I believe you are in a better position to do that than I am. Perhaps several hundred other people would like to narrow it down.  I suppose I could fly to every single place in SL, carefully looking for resemblances. I could get back to you in a decade or two with a response.  Or, maybe we could get a team of thousands of avatars to look around, then we could end up with a whopping one tenth linden or less apiece.

OK, here's another one and this time it's a little easier. Again, all buildings have been removed using the Debug menu. L$100 to the first person to guess this one by replying to this thread.
[Update: Garth correctly guessed that this is Dore/Ahern looking SE!]

The rules are simple. I will post a pic of a location from the past. You have to figure out where it is, go there and take the same pic today. Frame it as close as possible to the one I post and post your own. The first to post the right pic wins L$100.
I will pay the first to post the corresponding pic, but I ask that if you already know the location and dont really need the money, let some others have some fun with it.
Here is the first pic, a few more will follow if it turns out to be popular. hmmm, that pic looks like burning life right when the sims were rezzed o.o
