The Procrastinators Law of SL Time Distortion

Time you spent in SL today = n * (time you were supposed to spend doing something else)

Where n is a factor of the importance and immediacy of the thing you're supposed to be doing.

Wait.....we're supposed to do other things? Is that why my stomach kinda hurts and is making these weird rumbly noises? And why my cats have been eating parts of me? I demand elaboration!

Does that mean if you told they would have to kill you?

5. The moon you see in the sky is actually the same moon that orbits earth. Thus, second life is a twin planet to earth.

Since the moon we see is always full, the SL planet must be in an interesting LaGrange point involving Earth, Moon, and Sun, such that the SL planet is always somewhat between Moon and Sun, though not aligned closely enough to cause an eclipse. (Odd that we never see the Earth, in this configuration....)

Anyone else wish for phases of the moon? As well as something more noticeable in the way of seasons?

Happy birthday, Aimee. You don't know me, and I don't know you, but it's cheering to think of people being here for years. :)

I am really glad to know you, Aimee. The few times we've hung out have been a blast and I'm looking forward to more crazy fun times with you in the future.

Magnums LAW on Physics of Orbits and times in Second Life.

1. Outer Space begins at the tops of the cloud layer. or about 300 Meters. This is considered low planatary orbit.

Me personally, I don't consider anything space until 512 meters(the height in which you can no longer use llSetPos)... so I suppose once you get past that you've gotten out of the SL "atmosphere".

I just say this as a pilot who likes flying over the cloud cover. I'm certainly not in no space ship!

On a similar note - another occurance of time distortion is when you get kicked really hard in the balls.

Every second drags out to seem like hours as you writhe around trying to gyrate your hips in a vain attempt to get your testicles leave your upper pelvic region...

Just thought I'd share.

Whats more terrifying is the moment before the pain its, such as when you get "clipped" (as opposed to directly kicked). You have a good 5 or 10 seconds before you fall to your knees in agonizing pain. Enough time to think about what you did or how you just got wronged.

Hey, Kayin...

Nature gives you those 5 or ten seconds to knock the teeth out of whoever kicked you. Cavemen used to just bash a skull in for that, but hey... we're civilized now. :-)

I thought that Aimee made a New York City skyscraper that was in beta. No doubt the NY theme. But that can't be since she hasn't been around long enough. I wasn't in beta but they brought back some of the structures last summer for a celebration. The skyscraper had nonfunctional elevators but with a round hole through each floor so you could page up/fly to the top. Does anyone know who made that?

This fits, because I now feel like I have a degree in scriptology, and I'm almost 12 months old, so it's taken me 24 years... which is about what it's taking me irl ;).

Are you thinking of the Chrysler Building that CrowCatcher Valen made for the Americana Project in Blue??

Americana finally closed down in October of 2003, but we celebrated an Americana Redux on the 4th of July weekend of 2004 in Lime and Plum. The Chrysler was rezzed again!
