Kind of lonely actually. I think I'm having a hard time adapting
to this new world.
It's a weird feeling to really really want to play...and then log
in and not know what to do. To not know anyone, to not really
enjoy the club scene where it's easier to meet people. For once
it's me & not the limits of a game keeping me bored. It's disorienting
to flounder but still wonderful to be here. If that makes even a little bit
of sense.
Sometimes I wish there was a casual group along the lines of..."Hey!
I'm bored and wouldn't mind having other green dots around me."
or "I'm tired of building, anyone want to skydive?" Not set events, just
spur of the moment informal fun/socialness to be initiated by anyone.

I've thought about creating one, but the not knowing anyone combined
with my natural hermit tendencies makes it seem rather pointless. If
anyone else does though, drop me an invite please. ;)

And despite the whiny words, they are said in an upbeat tone with a smile
and I very glad that you had a good week. :)

Hi Sunshine,
Have you joined any groups? You can always IM into a couple of groups and ask if anyone wants to skydive. I always hear from people in the groups I've joined asking to do spur of the moment things. I'll look you up next time I'm in-world. I love the name by the way.

The most successful software company in the world does a piss-poor job on all these points. Particularly the first three. Why do you expect Linden Labs to do any better?
Yes, it's true, I have a blog now!

Heh. I'm always available for skydiving. If you ever see me in a sandbox or in a rez-enabled area, and you want to skydive, my ship can carry 10 people as high as you wanna go. :)

I spent my week on the opposite end of the bipolar swing.

Worst week in SL ever. But I didn't cut my throat. I guess I'm holding out for the other end of the spectrum where I feel as happy as a little chipmunk, like you. *taps foot, check watch* This is taking too long.

Gee. . .I haven't had time for my second life in more than a month. Do you guys regularly set aside a block of time to engage? I just never seem to get caught up in my first life. So many distractions. :(

Oops a friend of mine just yelled at me for my post & I saw your reply. Sorry I missed it before. :)
I think I need better groups perhaps. All I tend to get in mine is spam. ;)
And thanks for the compliment. I like yours as well. I have a month name in RL so I am partial to them...although a much yuckier month to have as a name. have no clue what my mom was thinking. :P

love sl......totally addicted though i'm not sure why. in my 7 months here, i've been screwed over by 4 people i thought were my good friends.

clubbing is waaaaay too cliquey nobody even notices that you're around if you're not part of the already established group that resides there.

oh well, i persevere. these days, i wander around exploring & building (though mostly by myself). OMG the shopping i have done in the last little while is horrendous. hello my name is mystic & i'm a shopaholic :D

need some new friends & someday hopefully i'll go out & find them once i snap myself out of my hermit-like state.

i'm a little shy, so it makes it sort of hard.....guess i should just get really drunk......then maybe i'll forget how shy i can be & start talking to perfect strangers

that being said.......i really do love it here!!!!!!!!!!!!
