Heh heh. Like I said, can't afford to invest more than $100 in LL.

Yourlittle idea has one major flaw, lifetime accounts are only for the lifetime of the game, not yours. I guarantee that in 10 years time Second Life, if it is still around, will be something else and likely those with lifetime accounts will be no more. You would be far better off to buy LL stock if it ever goes public as you are betting with the company, not the game.
As technology changes, SL falls farther and farther behind because it is hampered by legancy code(avatars are basically Poser 2 figures) and in five years time they may likely have to abandon SL entirely to make it work on the new machines. If they significantly change the game they may well not transfere the accounts. They could also leave the old SL up and the lifetime accounts can wander in the empty wasteland as everyone migrates to the new, better land. Keep in mind, all it would take would be some huge billion dollar company to look at the limitations of SL, create a bigger, better, richer experience and SL would empty like a boot full of piss with the heel cut off. |

Well, prokofy if you put up a bond that you'll pay my tier for the next 100 years, I'll do it. It's probably about $10*12*100, so $12,000 USD? We can use Lloyds of London for escrow (you'll have to pay the escrow fees, which will probably be more than the interest). Blaze, You say you have US$100, right? Buy a year membership for US$72. You will get the rights to 512m of land each month for that year, and you can buy your first 512m for L$512. Each month you will get L$2000, which is at present ~US$8. If you can sell that amount after your 11th month, you will have US$88, minus the GOM fees. You can then use than to buy another $72 yearly membership. rinse. repeat. Now if LL changes the yearly plan or the $L takes a dive, the numbers no longer work, but the first year is almost a sure lock. Isn't 512m better than 16m? _____________________

Yeah, but what happens if I get hit by a bus? Who pays my Land Tier fees?
But your point is true. 512 land only costs about 24$ / year. _____________________

3 prims...

What 3 prims would you put on that land that you'd want there for the rest of your life... Or a few years (maybe!) whichever comes first?

I think what blaze is asking for is some personal stake in the company, or at least in SL,
Though if that's what he's looking for, an actual private investmant is more in-line until LL decides to go public (which, personally, they may not want to do). And blaze, speaking of 16m2, I'll buy that last sqare you have in Boardman for L$50, just to get it back to the lot it used to belong to. I'm rather serious about that, since it was my first land. _____________________

You can buy my 16m2 in Slate for $100US, but payable to me, not the lindens.
and it's land that has no limits for terraforming - go visit it. As for the 3 prims, well I made a double cel object and placed it on the parcel. money orders or bank checks only... ![]() |

I should change the original message as no one ever bothers to read the thread. I have repeatedly said the money would only go to LindenLabs.
