How much drama will 1.6 generate?

Has anyone tried wearing an attachment or clothing that has the designated texture to play streaming video on that parcel?

I have. It doesn't work, 'cause the textures used for clothing and skin and whatnot are "baked" into a composite for your av - thus, the tex on your av is not the texture for video replacement anymore. :)

Drama? Just wait for the reaction to streaming porn video!

You mean more reactions, we have already seen some threads about how horrible it will be now that some folks will stream porn. Reactions from people who don't have to watch it, i.e. busybodies. The same type of people that wrote laws against any type of sex other than straight sex which are still on the books in some states today.

Puritan's Pride is not just a brand of health care supplement! :p

Care to elaborate on how "RL works because of entropy".

I did not behave in my rational self-interest in regards to the preview.

I did not act in my own best interest with respect to the preview grid.

Unlike some folks who have time consuming activities outside of their work SL is pretty much the only thing I do when I am at home. I am inworld around 6 hours a day or more Monday through Friday and at least 10 hours a day Saturday and Sunday.

Instead of going to the preview and fiddling there, filing bug reports and making suggestions in the forum provided, I stayed in the main grid doing pointless activities that add up to nothing as usual.

Going to the preview grid and fiddling, working the tests Vektor had out and just generally trying to break things in an orderly manner, and trying to articulate my view of how the system should have been changed would probably have actually been more fun than what I did.

I have no good explanation or justification for my actions.

I realize they have made many significant changes throughout the system and if I understand correctly they are standardizing the operating systems on all the computers as well. I am thus not surprised or annoyed that the upgrade is taking longer than originally planned.

I realize that there will be an abnormally large number of SL junkies desparately trying to get their fix the minute the system is turned back on, and thus I expect delays during login and won't be surprised or annoyed by them.

I realize that the data required to make you see and interact in the 3D virtual environment is not all distributed to all the places it needs to be the instant the system is turned on and that there may thus be delays in downloading textures so that won't surprise or bother me.

I realize that despite the immense amount of hard work the LL team has done there may be serious flaws that have escaped detection that will required reinstalling a newly revised client or even shutting the whole thing down again, and will not be distressed by that.

Since I am prepared for the likely delays and potential problems, and did not look after my own interests by more active participation in the preview grid, my contribution to the drama will be ZERO.

I think the most drama-generating part of 1.6 will be when I hack the grid to replace all streams with Flipper's recursive hasselhoff animation!

Same here. Today on "My Drama" Champie will be cleaning out his car and work truck...

maybe I'll put up a preview so I can get feedback on how to best approach the situation. :)

I got so involved in my previous post I forgot to say:
Flipper, for the love of God, please please please I beg you, change that god awful forum icon!

Thanks for reminding me to say that, Eggy.

Drama will be video streamed now, all our international keyboards wil spread a worse drama and near the tool check that removes all the spy objects of x and y from our land, we'll also have one named "Drama" wich add and multiplies them.

I think most people chose the last choice because it had the word "juicy" in there. I know I did.

:D So did I.

Oh definitely. :D BTW, what's the difference between regular drama and Juicy Drama? A full day's supply of Vitamin C?
