Care to elaborate on how "RL works because of entropy". Briana Dawson Read Brian Greene's Fabric of the Cosmos. Without entropy there would be no us. Maybe there would be an us, but it would be a pretty wonky us._____________________

I think most people chose the last choice because it had the word "juicy" in there. I know I did.

Do you really think that version 1.6 will increase the amount of drama? I hope so because I rarely see see any type of plays in SL and I would really like to see some Shakespeare plays. Maybe the newly inspired drama groups could start it all off with a production of Hamlet!

I'm pretty sure 1.6 will be the death of SL. And ruin it. And desecrate it.
Kris, on St. Patrick's Day, after my guests were good and drunk, I showed them Flipper's forum icon on a bigass TV with William Hung singing Rocktman in the background. It was awesome. They did recover. _____________________

Of course it will generate drama. Hell, installing Second Life causes drama, as far as I can tell. Natural byproduct.

I think it will go much the same as every other update:
1. Lots of post-update rush posts about not being able to get in world. 2. Lots of posts about how the new -insert optional feature here- is ruining SL 3. 'OMFG THE SKY IS FALLING!!!' 4. Two months of silence after which peeps won't know how they every existed without the new stuff. Siggy. _____________________

I've become addicted to SL drama, and frankly, there hasn't been nearly enough lately. Nowadays folks have to stretch out every little tidbit to try and squeeze some drops of drama juice out.
Why..I remember in the old days, we used ot have REAL drama. Savage name calling, tons of accusations, bitterness, backstabbing, lust and betrayal. Now we're lucky if we get politics, religion and bitching at Lindens. My hands are shaking...I need a fix bad! ![]() _____________________

New words
03-31-2005 11:19
Do you really think that version 1.6 will increase the amount of drama? I hope so because I rarely see see any type of plays in SL and I would really like to see some Shakespeare plays. Maybe the newly inspired drama groups could start it all off with a production of Hamlet! Susie this campaign of yours to prevent the addition of a definition of "drama" is really close-minded. You use words everday that where once never in the dictionary. Sticking to this "I won't use that definition of the word 'cause it's no in the dictionary" is riduculous because you are denying how words you use now GOT, in the dictionary. Bad or misuse of words does clutter the language a bit, but new definations are made simply by concensus. Why you feel, that as a single voice, you can prevent this is beyond me. Futhermore, that you "pretend" to not understand our use of the word just makes you look simple. So with no further ado.. Princeton Universtiy.... drama n 1: a dramatic work intended for performance by actors on a stage; "he wrote several plays but only one was produced on Broadway" [syn: play, dramatic play] 2: an episode that is turbulent or highly emotional [syn: dramatic event] 3: the literary genre of works intended for the theater 4: the quality of being arresting or highly emotional So regarding you campaign, please... save use the drama. |

It will be the utter and irrevocable death of SL and the end of the Universe as we know it. Again.

Blue you must not know me well enough to say all of that I don't try to convince anyone to follow my way of thinking. Everyone is entitled to say or think what they want in my book. When I see the word "drama" I think of theatrical productions and no amount of the misuse of the word will make me see it any differently. This is what happens when SL is down for an upgrade ![]() |
