Thank-you. It's absurd, isn't it? But so is life. And thus, to some extent, so is Second Life. COMRADES TO ARMS!

From: Pendari Lorentz I feel we are adults here (or we are supposed to be) and we can censor ourselves just fine. I wish it were true. I really do. While I agree that censorship is a very bad thing and everyone should be allowed to speak their mind, no matter what, there comes a point where you cross over from Free Speech into Childish Flaming. And it seems as though most people cannot see this line. Which makes me very sad. But it is for this reason that I think the forums should be moderated. Basically, If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. Or we'll delete/lock your post/thread and give you a Warning, you ass hat. Someone should only be able to acquire a certain amount of Warnings, and after that, I think they should not be able to post in the forums. If for only a month or so. It would (hopefully) make people rethink mindless assault. (The word "assault" has the word "ass" in it for a reason.) Editing posts is just wrong. You can't switch people's words around. That's completely reprehensible. Just delete, lock, warn, The End. While it may be better to not delete posts so everyone can see what stupid people the offenders are, this does nothing for Forum Drama, and so my opinion still stands.

From: Ingrid Ingersoll I don't like the idea of a ton of forum censorship although I also don't like seeing the garbage spewed here by certain individual/s of late who clearly have anger management problems and use the forums just to vent and lash out at anyone. What Ingrid said. Generally, I would prefer a minimalistic approach to forum moderation. The guidelines should be clear and beyond speculative interpretation. Finally, I don't agree with Khamon's suggestion about doing away with the Web forums. On the converse, I would like to see more integration between the in-world and the LL Web properties. Some of us can't play at work, dang it! *Edit: To our friendly forum pollsters: Would you kindly migrate away from pure binary polling responses? The world is rarely black and white with a broad grayscale inbetween! Thank you thank you thank you!

That is the beauty of Torley - I am constantly amazed at the combinations she comes up with There is always something totally wacky and yet profound about them.
