Well, I can see I'm going to be standing around rezzing and deleting trees and plants for a while--

When I get the new ones I'll make em free to copy at Blair Pier, but I may not be able to get on line until tomorrow.

Older trees and grasses are available in the inventory Library. It would be nice to see new additions available there too. (hint! hint!)

New Tees in Second Life

Many of you have requested that the new trees (plants) be added to the Library. The ball is rolling in that direction, so please be patient.

All of your ideas on future additions are wonderful. One of our goals is to provide foliage elements that include species native to common environments around the world, as well as fantasy and alien species.

A clarification on See Sword and Eelgrass:

- the Sea Sword is the smallest, brightest plant
- the Eelgrass is taller, skinnier, and a little darker green (more like blades of grass)

There are a few fixes in coming releases, most of which will be undetectable in-world. Thanks for your interest and comments on this topic – and keep them coming!

I like the eelgrass best. Thanks for the new stuff! But I have a suggestion: WATER LILIES! Lily pads too.

Underwater plants are nice I suppose but being you can see them above the water , in many cases glowing, the effect is likely to look just as dorkish as it does currently. In other words we need an option to make water opaque from the air.

As you have seen, there are five new plants in Second Life. They are:

Sea Sword (aquatic)
Eelgrass (aquatic)
Kelp (aquatic)
Beach Grass
Undergrowth

Each of these plants is available in the Tree Creation Tool - with the exception of 'Undergrowth,' which is available in the Grass Creation Tool.

Please disregard the "Missing Image" grass you may have seen. The error has been fixed, and you will not see it in v1.5.9.

Thanks for all your kind comments on our newly released foliage, and enjoy them all!

Eric

Awesone Eric - particularly the aquatic versions!!! TY :)
