What do you guys think of the new forum design? It will take some time to get used to. I hope the edges of the buttons get cleaned up. Also, is there an off-topic forum? I didn't see it.

Thus far I like it!

This is the software update - new design/forums arrive on Weds.

Stat tuned!

Besides the obvious thread redesign and colors, is anything else new?

It will take some getting used to, but I think it looks much better.

So far, it isn't bad.

If the design is updated a bit, I think it'll look great... kind of nice to have the forum widened.

There's a "search this thread" and "new posts". That's usefull!
Gonna see what else is new! :)

Well, my first reaction is they screwed it up and I dislike it. My reason is simple. The redesign FORCES me to view this forum in 800x600 despite my browser being set up to display the largest fonts I can - no, it didn't grab hold of my computer and change my resolution on me. However, I had to manually change it myself to read the forum. At anything larger than 800x600, the text is so miniscule that I have to squint. :(

Sort of of weird interest, the names of posters are HUGE for me while the text is relatively tiny in comparison.... the exact opposite of anything I would prefer.

If I didn't run a multi-monitor system, this would be a pain while I am at home. It WILL be a pain when I access the site from my laptop - having to switch resolutions simply to access the forums.

Yeah, they really need to clean up the graphics. I'd be reamed if I turned in a website design that featured jaggy graphics like this.

Ok, who hit the forums with the ugly stick?

The post input area is nicer, that's about all I can think of that's positive.

I'm assuming the button edges are because they were the default buttons supplied with vBulletin, and anti-aliased to suit the default vBulletin colors.

If there's not an alternative vBulletin button set made for darker backgrounds, then I'm sure someone at LL will at some point get around to making one.

Meanwhile, I suggest that's a low priority item for them to work on right now!

I think it is very hard to read, the text is very small :(

Geez, vBulletin still hasn't got it through their thick skulls to make the thread page links bigger or somehow easier click, like a couple big buttons for "Next Page" and "Previous Page"?

And yeah, the text is too small.

I really don't like the GIGANTIC usernames that create huge gaps between the posts. I liked the names and avatars over on one side. :P

The names are a tad unelegant. Especially if you increase the font size to read the posts.

How do you increase the font size? This is hurting my eyes :(

Usually command + or control + in most browsers.

Hurts my eyes.

(Oh wait, I thought this was the 3 word thread.)

Oh well, it still hurts my eyes. And even so, I can see I'm not the only one.

Try the view menu. It may have a font size option. What browser are you using?

Go to the View menu, then the text zoom sub menu. Choose a percentage. Or control-plus (+).
