I just saw the Ad on BoingBoing and thought to myself 'wow, that person looks like Torrid Midnight' so I clicked :P

I like it! (Is this new or am I slow?) :\

Those boingboing ads are getting a lot better. I just saw it this morning, too. The one I saw had Aimee on it.

YAY! The ads feature me, Torrid, Mistress, Surreal, and Ferran. I urge you all to click the refresh button compulsively at BoingBoing until your index finger bleeds to see us in our slappy glory.

I Imagine you will see them when LL does an Abercrombie and Fitch spoof.

I'm surprised they haven't spoofed hot topic, then again, no one over 18 ever shops there!

Back when I worked at CDnow we used to joke about doing a "MEN OF TECH" calendar, but realized people wouldn't want to buy something that would make them vomit.

Hey now, I'm old as them thar hills and I shop at Hot Topic. I love the store, and find all those pierced and spiked young employees both very helpful and very friendly.

This is a great site but it needs way more men in male capri pants.

There are male capri pants? oy...

Also I encourage everyone to shop the slap rack, they are quite possibly the best clothing lines in Second Life.

*sneakily rubs his thumb against his fingers in Aimee's direction* Yes, I am getting paid to say this.

Are these products all at one store in game? Or is it a collection of ADs for various stores?

Great stuff.

Annah,

Different stores, but some of them are in close proximity to each other. The locations are noted on the website. :) I am friend of both Chaos peeps from Indigo + Chaos and Midnight City "Umberinos" (as I smilingly call them) and I am so happy to see their fantabulous fashions featured in such a pretty ad. I think it's a unique way of doing a promo to bridge the real and the virtual too and get people interested in the wonderful world o' Second Life.

So, el mucho respect to Ferran, Surreal, Mistress, Torrid, Aimee! :D

They don't really have a Hot Topics in my area. I am a fan of Religious Sex, Trash in Vaudeville, Sock Man, and a few mail order sites.

Isn't this a bit risky? I mean the whole emulation and obviouse copyness off of GAP inclueding the logo?

Otherwise it looks nice and uberly fetid! :D

I meant whatever that thing you said. Or something. :p

I think I hear my dictionary crying in shame. These forums have misguided me in words. :(
