I would dare to say recycling. But maybe that is more of a concept then a thing. Or maybe the invention of the helium powered nuclear reactor witch produces about a dime size amount of radio active materiel for some insane amount of electricity. That or that machine that uses more electricity then the hole us, but runs just off of store light power costing them 5 dollars in electricity to run.

Physics = no free energy. Everything must pay a price, energy will be lost somewhere no matter how efficient the system. You may get 99.9999999999999999999999999999% efficiency, but someday supply will be unable to meet demand. Now if you mean energy as in "$" free (like solar or hydrogen), I'm all for that and I do think it can be done if the world's science communities stay dedicated to it. Personally I'd like see more energy generated from our waste (like methane), kill two birds with one stone.
