griefer hate objects

Imagine my surprise tonight when I logged on and found 3 huge antigay objects hovering over my new house in Magenta, which is located opposite the Phantasie Isle Beach Club. Upon closer look, they are actually on my neighbor's land, but large and looming enough to look like they are right over my roof. Both my neighbor and I are gay SLers. The 3 objects were placed there by a new group created today (4/23), with almost all the members having been created today also... The group is SA Goons. One object has a pic of a penis with bees on it (one of the SA's, no doubt), another has an icon of a hand grenade on it, with the motto "SA is watching," and the third is a message board that states "if you can read this you must be a fucking faggot..."

A friend has placed boxes over the offending objects until Linden removes them and (I sincerely hope) bans these players.

I have abuse reported it to Linden, notified my neighbor to do the same, and left a message for the person who did this, to remove the objects. One of the members of this group is also a member of the Phantasie Isle group. Having been in SL since September, this is the first time I have run up against a hit and run homophobic griefer. Altho the objects are on my neighbor's land, the fact that we are both gay makes this a target against me as well. I am posting this in the hopes that someone will know who the coward is who did this. I hope this does not reflect on Magenta as a whole. My time there has so far been pleasant, and I have no intention of moving.

Sounds like this'll be one of those situations where LL actually disbands a group and possibly bans people.

We should be seeing a lot more of this since the SA forums have been notified of the "free membership" thing.

LLabs should be on their toes... SA has a bad habit of running over a lot of people in the name of humor.

Because it potentially violates the privacy section of the TOS? (Note the -potentially- part. I don't know if LL considers where you also hang out online to be 'private life' or not. I sure hope they do, since I don't certain people would want others knowing they go to [URL Removed Due To Sexual Content]. )

No telling how far LL'll go when it finally gets moved enough to swing the ban-axe.

Just go to Magenta and look at the objects if you're dying to know. And if you don't want to... well, guess you don't want to know badly enough, hm?

Well, I went to Magenta, I was gonna neg rate the builder of the objects, but i guess they are down now. Was gonna neg rate all the members of SA, but there are so many, I can't believe they were ALL involved, or feel that way. For what it's worth tho, this kind of action by a few group members CAN get a whole group banned. I don't mean the members, I mean the group can 'lose' it's charter, and be dissolved.

I'm happy to report that the objects have been removed from Magenta, and I thank Linden for acting promptly. I don't know if anyone has been banned, but the bumps to this thread by other goons indicates that many of them share the homophobic sentiments of the original griefer (whose last name is the same as the first name of a former US president...). Beware.

Also, the neighbor I referred to in my first post has since sold that land to someone else (as it was for sale all along).

FINE then, give ME the names, and I'll farking post them. These people are obviously total asshats....

And whats with all the lol's? Are those alt-AVs? Or the involved Parties?
