Trinity,

My heart goes out to you - I am sorry for your loss. The other night when I was DJing, I dedicated a song to you after reading this - the next time I speak to you privately I will tell you what it was. I am extremely attached to my pet - not sure how I would take the loss of Sonic at this point. It is amazing how close we become to them, and how much they are a part of us. * hug * You are in my thoughts, my dear friend.

Not much makes this crusty old bastard cry.... Trin I shed a few tears just now for you and Bud. I hope you can find peace and comfort soon ! I have known this loss myself and know how bad it hurts. I think the hardest pain I had in this sense was watching my Dad cry when he had to put his Trixie down. I had never seen him cry before and it affected me hugely.

I'll be thinking of you Trin and wishing you peace.

I feel for you, Trin. I shared my recent life with three wonderful furry babies - I was there as they made their way into the world during Christmas lunch in 1989 (yes, the whelping box was next to the dining table) and enjoyed every minute I spent with them during their lives. We lost Nying to a massive tumor in January 2003, Kim to complications from a lifetime of hypothyroidism in March 2004, and - well, Angie's still here and behaving like a 9 year old, but I have yet to hear of a dog of her breed making it beyond 16 so....

It never gets easier. Never.

(Sorry I couldn't find a more dignified picture of Angie, but when females get beyond a certain age, they tend to spend an awful lot of time in that particular stance!)
