First, let me invite you to go to this tread

Come pick up a cow at the VERTU headquarters and while you're at, support a very worthy cause -- Heifer International, an organization committed to ending world hunger and caring for the earth which it does by providing livestock and training to project partners around the world.

In defense of the cow, (which I think is a natural choice over the hippo ) would be my choice over the Hippo, the cow is a 7 M animal! And that makes it special! What is a 7 M animal?

It gives people: meat, money, milk,manure, muscle, materials, and motivation .

Hippos just look cool from a distance but really scary up close . hehe.
