U.S. News and World Reports Magazine has a lengthy article this week on Iran, their involvement in Iraq, and their nuclear ambitions. Interesting reading. You may want to check it out and draw your own conclusions.
Also, just a brief comment, not directed at you specifically. Many people think Iranians are Arabs, but they are not. They are Persians and have never had the best relations with the Arabs (to put it mildly). Why I bring this up? The news on Tehran pursuing nuclear weapons probably makes Arab countries (not to mention Israel) much more nervous than it would the USA. The big danger is that Tehran's nuclear ambitions will lead to an arms race in the Middle East. Be assured that Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Syria, and Jordan (or Israel) will not simply sit around watching Iran get nukes. They consider Iran as much as threat as the USA does. - T - _____________________

If you'd been declared part of the "axis of evil" by the most powerful country on earth, who has a recent history of invading countries it doesn't like "preemptively," wouldn't you work your ass off to develop a deterrent? I would!

This is what I mean when I say that the war is grotesque and in little circumstance is there ever a reason to go to war. We should NOT go to Iran...ever. That place will make Iraq look like a cakewalk.
Besides, once they do have a viable nuke, how long do you think Israel is going to let them keep it....intact, that is. Since Israel will be target numero uno for any Iranian nukes, why don't we just let them take the flak for any action to destroy them. _____________________

Russia gets pissed and nukes them with there newly tested uber nuke then N.Korea invades starting WWIII. This time Germany is Allied and France still doesn't care. Meanwhile a new nation is formed on the interweb and they all flock to antarctica which is now half melted and build a huge dome city 24hr cyber cafe commune where marijauna is legalized along with gambling and prostitution. _____________________
