the only rational response is: you screwed up figuring out my motivation - why should anyone believe that you could ferret out the central premise correctly? You certainly didn't state what you thought my central premise was for us to have any belief that you DID actually figure it out..

Your central premise as stated in the first post of the other thread...

From: Korg Stygian
The Dems and other liberals are going to have a conniption fit over this...

CNN's webiste has it as breaking news that Time magazine is going to name President Bush as its Man of the Year!

Those with compassion in their hearts (which leaves me out) might want to hold a wake for the deaths due to heartattacks that are now bound to happen.

Others, like me, should begin to reach for the cotton/earplugs to stuff our ears as the wailing will begin presently I am sure --- certainly loud enough to make the Republican's clamor about Dirty Ole Bill seem like a crooner singing Brahms' Lullaby.

As I said there's no rational reason for liberals and Democrats to have the conniption fit you're expecting, hence I disagree with your premise for starting the thread. Not exactly rocket science is it?

I would have liked to have seen Christopher Reeve get it. Oh well. :(

Do you understand that man of the year in Time magazine has nothing to do with character quality, but how much a person impacted the world?

In the long run, Reeve's push for stem cell research will have much more impact than how many people Bush has had killed.

In the end, Christopher Reeve will be nothing more than an irrelevant footnote in the annals of history. Bush, on the other hand, will go down in history as the man who single-handedly ended the Pax Americana, and initiated the decline and fall of the American republic. This is a claim in which I have the utmost confidence, as Bush is an amalgam of all of the most detestable Roman emperors. He's a theocrat who actively seeks to persecute followers of "untrue" religions with all of the fervor of Diocletian. He's a megalmaniac who believes he's charged with duty by God, much like the narcissistic Commodus. He's the living embodiment of financial ineptitude, wreaking havoc with poorly planned reforms to the tax code, just like Domitian. Fortunately for the Romans, these emperors all ruled at various times in Roman history, and were often deposed before they could harm the nation too greatly. Unfortunately for us, we've got neither the luxury of deposition nor the salvative power of time. All of the incompetencies and iniquity of those emperors has been concentrated in one gloriously inept man. President Bush has ensured that this country will never again be beacon of freedom and tolerance. He has ensured that our heritage of liberty has been stamped out, and replaced with devastating neo conservative policy that is abbhorent to everything which this nation stands for. Hail Caesar.

I would just like it noted that I too am completely unique in my political affiliation.

None of you are like me. I like liberals, but if I had to choose between a liberal who kills babies with a chainsaw and a conservative who rescues babies from alligators, it would be a tough choice. I might still choose the liberal, but I can't say for certain.

I am completely non-partisan. I once smiled at a Republican in a grocery store. I haven't found anyone else on these boards who is as non-partisan as I am. You cannot classify me, therefore whenever you try to label me you will be wrong. I cannot be labeled. I am an enigma wrapped in a riddle. Whenever you feel that creepy cold feeling pass over you from seemingly out of nowhere, that is me.

Fantastic Nolan......... You did what I was gonna do. :) Bush being man of the year is really nothing to get all worked up about as this list shows anyone can be one from the most evil to the best of us to the most irelivant. No political views here or even desired as this list shows that anything is possable. I mean Hitler as man of the year? Common Bush is nothing compaired to that scum. So lets all try and keep things in perspective if ya can ok please? Or Not, your choice but it is the holliday season after all. Good will to all men & woman and all that ya know.........

Again great reply & list Nolan........... Merry X-mas............
