It hardly means he's been given some kind of tacit stamp of approval. All it means is that he's the most influential person currently on the world stage in the opinion of Time magazine. The end of that sentence - appear to be non-partisan ---> again, you try and fail to put words in my mouth. I am not non-partisan. I am just not what any of you have yet labelled me. My partisanship has to do with being anti-ignorant-of-one's-own-socio-political-bias in everything. So far, I have yet to see anyone else claim similar partisanship. I certainly haven't seen any "crossing the line" by liberals/Dems in terms of allowing non-liberals/non-Dems to believe what they want to believe without being attacked. Do you really think that the few non-liberals who post in these forums are the only non-liberals who read the forums/are in SL? I happen to think that there are quite a few more but most are simply tired of arguing with the deaf/ideologues on the other side of the socio-political spectrum. Certainly trying to discuss/argue with an extremist is only entertaining for a short period of time...if the real goal is conversion. If it is simple sado-masochism, then others can probably tell you why they engage repreatedly in such mental-verbal masturbation. 2. To this... I disagree with your central premise the only rational response is: you screwed up figuring out my motivation - why should anyone believe that you could ferret out the central premise correctly? You certainly didn't state what you thought my central premise was for us to have any belief that you DID actually figure it out. The rest of your response I judge to be a diatribe justifying an attack though couched in circular logic based on an unsupported/unstated premise. |
