it may be too late already because you're apparently already gone. but i want to say i'll miss you. you're the first linden that talked to me when i was an awe struck newbie. you even visited fate gardens in olive and complimented that awful first tree i built. it was like zeus raining gold over my head. okay bad analogy but i did appreciate the time and encouragement.
i wish you all the best doing whatever it is you're doing where ever it is you're doing it. feel free to drop by and talk if you're still inworld. you don't have to tell me who you are. well unless your alt is sulumor; then you do have to tell me. hey, can i have your taber land?

Haney was one of the few Lindens I've met in-world. Nice guy. I wish him luck wherever he goes.

Yeah, he was one of the first Lindens I ever met. I remember asking him why some attachments were floating in the air, but only I could see them. That was in May of 2003, and that was when I learned what ghosting was.
edit: I like to imagine it's still the '90s

I'll definitely miss Haney. He was a pretty cool guy -- a bit quiet, but, cool. I forgive you for pushing me in front of the bus.

It was a few days ago when I noticed that Haney was no longer in the list of active Lindens. I thought this might be a glitch, but it has since been confirmed otherwise. I did not talk very much to Haney but he was kind of the guy that, if you saw his av walking around, his presence was felt. And now it's gone. Haney, if you're reading this, just to clarify: referring to one of the first times we met inworld at trivia, I have the same birth day (and month) as Paul McCartney but not the same birth year. I do not know why you are no longer a Linden, and it feels a bit awkward for me to unravel that mystery. But if you'd like to share, by all means please do! I wish I could say this again: *sighs*

Wow, Haney's gone? For real? That's too bad. I always thought Haney was one of the Lindens with a pretty good sense of humor and perspective about everything. I remember once in-world about a year and a half ago, I was babbling to Haney about some drama issue du jour; he half-jokingly replied something to the effect of "You know, Beryl, some people tell me that, to them, SL is just a game. It's hard to believe, I know." Happy trails, Haney; I'm sure you're on to bigger and better things.

my goodness. haney?? your gone? gosh, u were the only linden i ever knew at all, and admittedly not well, but ur quiet support was noticed. you would visit me on occasion and i am not gonna say here how u showed ur support, but it was very appreciated. i think u probably did this sort of thing with many people who were trying to do something a bit different and daring. i wish u well and hope this is all good.
so sayeth:

Damn I didn't know Haney was leaving! I remember one of my first meetings with Haney lol. He was standing on my head at Dave Zeeman's avatar stack back when we could only fit about 20 avs in one sim. You will be missed .

My guess is that either Haney didn't know he was leaving or Linden Lab didn't (one or the other). It's all happened very quickly and no goodbyes I notice. Just disappeared from the people search and people have found out from there. I know last time a Linden left they announced it, but this time nada, so it appears that something's gone on from one side or the other.

Haney's gone? I'm going to miss him... he was one of the first Lindens I met and I always had a wonderful time talking to him about anything, even when it was about sims crashing or the latest SL economic upheaval. :raises virtual beer glass to Haney: Bye bye for now, Alexis

Man, I can't believe Haney's gone either!
Haney was/is a great customer support person. He could defuse a situation better then anyone I know. Haney was fair but firm.
My best memory of Haney was when we were having trouble with some fools in Olive (when it was a sandbox) and he came to the log cabin and just sat there with us for almost an hour, listening and watching what all those fools were doing. We didn't talk much that day, Haney knew I was about to explode, and instead of just saying, "Nothing I can do", he acted.
Haney, thanks for always being fair and firm. Your presence in our world will be sorely and surely missed.

See ya round, Haney man.

Haney was one of the few who always said "Hi" to me, even though I was just sitting there quietly to myself in the welcome area. Take care Haney. You will be missed.
