From: Huns Valen This is one the reasons why I always tune out anyone who starts talking about feminism. Well, ok, but maybe you've just had bad experiences. I firmly believe in "equalism" and yes, I absolutely love men. However, I see far too many instances of young girls being objectified -- and being brainwashed into thinking that they SHOULD be objectified because it gets them attention. I'm not interested in helmet-headed people who don't let anything pierce their protective covering, be it misogynists OR feminazis. EDUCATE YOURSELF! Yes, we ALL agree that the woman's nuts. However, have you been to the local college lately? Have you opened the latest women's magazine? Women everywhere are being taught to please and placate men, just because society believes that it is how women ought to be. It takes a pretty tough man to deal with a tough broad.

It takes a pretty tough man to deal with a tough broad. Have you been to your local college lately? Over the last decade, the number of women in higher education has increased so that, today, men are now in the minority. On television, the days of the objectified woman are quickly being met by the days of objecitifed men. I boarded the bus the other day, and a young woman was carrying a Playgirl bag, festooned with many shirtless hunks. For the most part, equality has been won. A few glaring discrepancies come to mind, though. Women's rights in divorce and child custody hearings still echo the outmoded practices of yore, where women were expected to rear the young. Accordingly, men who actually do wish to take custody of the children face an unfair, uphill battle which ends in failure more frequently than not. Furthermore, women are still not eligible for the draft. As a firm believer in gender equality, I think that the segregation of our fighting forces is an egregious anachronism.

I boarded the bus the other day, and a young woman was carrying a Playgirl bag, festooned with many shirtless hunks. For the most part, equality has been won. Oh please. Have you read the latest Cosmopolitan? It's chock full of articles about why men cheat and how YOU can stop them from cheating if only you were good-looking enough, always felt good about yourself, and had sex a lot. Sororities have plumbers come to their houses once a month to fix the pipes because there's so much stomach acid being flushed down the toilet because all these girls are bulimic. MTV plays rap videos with rappers surrounded by scantily clad women with perfect bodies. I understand that there are more girls in college than men and that there are more women in the office than there have ever been, and I am extremely happy about that. But the environment of the college, while subject to its school, is often a reflection of what's going on in pop culture, and pop culture says that girls must please boys, and if they just want to please themselves, then they are whores/unfeminine/undesirable.
