*** Hugz**** I did it in May. It's a BEAR but it's worth it. I keep telling my self not to worry about the 20 lbs I gained that I'll lose it later, nevertheless, I don't want to start smoking again.
I have to say that the Commit Tablets helped a lot. Much better than Nickorette. Good Luck Buddy! _____________________

Heh, that is my cold turkey date also Siggy. I am down to about 5-8 a day now and it get's easier. We'll see. I'm down to a pack and a half a day, from a pack a day... this shit is like golf right? I'm planning on nailing the door shut and only accepting food that can be slipped under the door... ICH BIN EIN FLATFOODER!!!! Maybe Gen can squash some brains under there for me! Hey Lector, I quit smoking, well, um, for like three months until I had a stress incident and started again. But anyway, while I was quitting I saved the money that I would have spent on cigarrettes and bought myself a treat with it. It felt really good to reward myself with something that I wouldn't have had if I hadn't quit, plus the item that I bought was a punching bag, very good for withdrawal stress.

I had an acquaintance that used to be an alcoholic and was also hooked on H.
Interestingly enough is that he told me tobacco was the toughest of all his addictions to break. So for those of you that have done it, hats off to you! And if you haven't here's another story... My grandma smoked for 30 years. At age 67 she moved to my parents house. The moment she moved in, she threw out her cigarretes and never smoked again, just like that. She said she did it because she didn't wanna stink up her son's house. Never heard a complaint from her about withdrawal symptoms or missing smoking. So it can be done, even after so many years.
