Jonquille, if Merwan wanted Apotheus and himself to deal with this he wouldn't have made the damning post against Apotheus yesteday. By making that post yesterday, both here and in the SLExchange forums (which got him banned, to give himself something else to bring up in public here which he did by starting a thread about it!) he made this public and wanted the public to do something about it. Please don't be so naive to think there was any other reason. It was his last throw of the dice, an understandable throw, but as I said yesterday he made people believe that he wanted this solved privately whilst posting publicly to influence. That's a contradiction he didn't need to make and shouldn't of made as all it's done is made those who realise what he's done question his 'I don't want to influence people' stand.

I know, Moopf, I've read that a dozen times or so already. You believe Merwan was definitely trying to influence people by posting publically.

I'm not even going to make any assumptions as to whether you're right or not, because it simply doesn't matter to me. If Merwan wants the public to act, he's going to have to get off the fence and tell me, because I'm not going to second guess him and try to decode what he's saying. I'm a big fan of directness, and I don't like trying to read between the lines when people are deliberately trying to be coy.

The fate of SLEx is not in the hands of these forums.

I would like to see SLEx get back to business as usual - but after 10 days that has not happened and it is clear to me that the future of SLEx is unknown. (wow is that an understatement).

I don't want to advise people re: SLEx because I still have a vested interest in SLEx.

Posts in the forums have a way of taking on a life of their own - which is not helpful. (One example: the world "blackmail" was not said by me, people are drawing mistaken conclusions).

No, I don't want numerous threads about SLEx.

SLEx is both a RL and a SL entity. I would like Apo and I to find common ground and forge an agreement about the future of SLEx.

I have met inWorld with Ulrika and explained that a boycott can not fix the situation with SLEx and I asked her to remove my name from her efforts.

However, my belief now is that Merwan is probably not as innocent as he is making himself out to be with his various *public* postings and that is why he is pulling out of any public protest.

Assuming that Apotheus isn't guilty, I can only say that there isn't much point in any further protesting.

I will be relisting my goods in SLExchange and continue doing business with Apotheus until further information.

It is interesting that the only thing you can read out of Merwan not asking you to do anything in his name or on his behalf is he must be guilty of something. You have been screaming left and right about Apotheus' guilt, and when Merwan asks you politely to not use his name for whatever effort you had underway (as in this thread), then you turn on him. Make up your mind - again, Merwan is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. Apotheus has said nothing whatsoever to refute anything - and has acted in a consistent pattern of damaging behavior. If you are basing your assertion of guilt on Merwan not wanting you to be his spokesperson, then I am guilty too, because I definitely would not want you to represent me in anyway. Woah I guess that makes this my fault too.

I have no idea on what is going on but you can make these logical assumptions.
Which can be completely wrong too.

Merwan is a stand up guy doesn't want Slex ruined because of this.

Merwan wants a decent buyout price. if the Slex is dead he still gets nothing.

Merwan wishes to persue legal action it wouldn't look good if he put his name
to or endorsed a destructive movement against Slex.

Merwan wants to be a partner again if its ruined again he is damned anyway.

Now these could be all wrong but so is assuming he is guilty of something
wrong because he doesn't hop on your righteous bandwagon.

I agree with all of these. It's a sad situation.

I'd also add that their site had value and now those of us who refuse to do business with SLEX are also losing. I am very disappointed in the owner.
