Dude I have mad love to give. I dont give it to people who dont give it back or deserve it. That would be very tiring and pointless. To make it clear you are one of those people. I do not love you, I do not respect you and I would mucha lucha with you anytime.

And just to clarify a point earlier. I would never bash the people who work hard to make SL fun. How dare you suggest that you caddy bitch. MEOW! Not to mention I am one of those people asshole. The fact is the system in currnet system fosters bad practices. Abuse is a major problem dude. The current dwell system is not a measure of places that make SL fun and beautiful. It is a measure of who games it the best as Hank said. It needs to be reworked or done away with all together. Until such time fuck the dwell system.

Those methods are not efficient and I'd hardly call that gaming the dwell. Building a game or hosting an event is what I call gaming the dwell. If people start a small business in SL (a club) then they can do whatever they want to get people to attend. Paying someone to host events is going to get you more dwell than standing idle all day. Having your own radio station works even better. The individuals paying people to idle instead of hosting events are wasting their $.

You want to know what scares me, people that have large clubs, but they pay newbs to send their spam IM's and TP offers. They stand on their own land and point you towards the club. They take the 3 day suspension instead of the club owner. It's damn sick.

Funny thing too, I was working on this thing to distribute landmarks, I attach it to my head and it hands out landmarks to everyone in a 96m radius. It's awsome fast. Don't worry, I only plan to use it on my land.

The point is, I was working on it, then I was sent a TP request. I was not expecting this SPAM invite to a club. I was about to click my mouse cursor onto a part of my script that needed fixing and suddenly there was this "Accept TP" button in the way. It was too late, my brain had sent the request to my left index finger to click. If I was younger I would have missed the teleport button. Alas, I clicked ACCEPT TP by mistake.

So I TP'ed by mistake to this club and the newbie is directing my to the club and it's far away but closer than 96m. So everyone in the club got spammed with my landmarks. Which is really damn funny because that audience is there - because of spam, so they all leave because they love spam and they wanted to see what the landmark was all about....

Anyways, a few days go buy and da BOOM. I get abuse reported for it, probably by the one guy who was left standing there. haha.

So yea Hank, people are messing with the system. They want dwell, but there is nothing wrong with how it is calculated or holding events or idling on your land.

There is a problem with a rich person paying a poor person to break the rules.

There is a problem with accepting a TP to a location that I did not want to visit in the first place and getting abuse reported when I arrive.

They are gaming the TOS, not dwell, and I am spitting mad.

Darko doesn't look for things to hate, but he certainly calls a spade a spade. I suppose it is the clarity brought on by being totally blazed (not to be confused with Blaze's lack of clarity). Jack you are someone who is working extremely hard at what you do and come by it honestly, and that is something to admire. However, your post comes across as hostile towards anyone who will question any motives used to achieve that. I am sorry if you have been lumped in with other people, but there is definitely abuse of the system going on. If this were all for play money it would be one thing, but hundreds of USD are being given out each month to players by LInden Lab, and when money is involved, people find ways to cheat and game the system.

Gaming a system is not always breaking the letter of the law, but it can certainly be breaking the spirit of it. i happen to love your work - the bowling alley at Spittoonie is especially brilliant. I know you have been through all kinds of shit with people, I have seen the posts. I guess that is why I don't understand why you are not more outraged at the people who take shortcuts and cheat to get there, instead of blasting the people who question it in the first place.

Yea, well, someone smart like you can make a post that has a clear point. I can't. I did my best. I'm mad about dwell gaming too, but there is only one way to game dwell IMO and that is to use spam instead of the event calendar. I tried spamming the spammers and got a TOS violation for it.

Quick note here: I've visited Spittoonie MANY times and would like to thank Jack for always being so prompt and attentive when I broke his roulette wheel. I did it like, 4 times, and often when I'm at Spittoonie, I see him fielding questions from visitors and busy scripting and making and tweaking. Kudos, Jack and the Spittoonie team.

Is anyone else confused by folks who jump up to be the PR person for any given issue (this issue and land baron issue comes to mind) without actually taking a good, long look at WHY people are discontented with said issue? Why do certain people take it personally, even when they are not named and clearly add to the sl experience, get so worked up when people in general point out flaws and defects with the system(s) or abusers of the system(s)?

If it doesn't apply to you, no one is calling you out by name and you do not have a guilty conscience then why are you so god damned worried?
