You have no comprehension how hard it is to have a lot of dwell. None. You have no idea how much hardship and how many complaints and griefing and running around and on the spot repairs and crap the high dwell getters get. None what-so-ever. If anyone is at the top of the list, club or whatever, it means it was hard work.

oh but i do have an idea jack. i spent time in the dwell competition. its work. unless u are truly a work a holic it will eat up your gaming experience. you dont get to go anywhere, u dont get to do anything, but work on your dwell.
i stopped several months ago. back then a 3000 dwell could get u in the top ten quite often. now, you need a 4 to 5 thousand dwell to be in bottom of top twenty most days. that means at least 2 good well attended events a day, maybe more. i think most people, who are dwell oriented and work that hard at this for whatever reason, burn out on it eventually. to maintain that high a stress level for long in a supposedly fun fantasy environment just is not worth it in the end. my 2 cents marilyn _____________________

i think most people, who are dwell oriented and work that hard at this for whatever reason, burn out on it eventually. to maintain that high a stress level for long in a supposedly fun fantasy environment just is not worth it in the end. Yeah, I feel your frustration there. I'm about burned out myself, and looking forward to retiring on my 4096sqm of land, scripting in peace instead of trying to earn money to pay for huge land tiers and building a couple of communities. _____________________

Clearly if SL had 0 activity there would be nobody dwelling (read: using SL). You people against dwell will only be happy when this happens. So it is not only a measure of activity, but it shows you what SL is really about. If you don't like the places on the dwell list - leave and stop bashing all the people who work hard to make SL a fun place to play. Take your politics and shove 'em. Take your unquenchable thirst for power and respect and either play a game that you find more rewarding or stop complaining. _____________________

They are upset about the "gaming" of dwell: logging in alts to artificially inflate dwell numbers, hiring people to simply sit around and do nothing to artificially inflate dwell numbers, etc. Dwell for some locations is not measuring how popular the site is, it's measuring how well they are abusing the dwell system. _____________________
