I'm signed up on the forums and will try to make the Wed. meeting if scheduling allows.

I've had a bunch of people tell me they want to take a building course, so I'm interested in getting on the list so I can post about any classes like this at my free cabins...

If I am unable to make the meeting, I would like to make a suggestion.

Set aside an area for free terraforming. Terraforming instruction is sorely lacking and available places to try the tools are very limited. Have an instruction board and an area to try the tools. That would be uber cool. A 4096m area should be more than enough, go with less if you are cramped for space, or more if you need some content.

I'll teach terraforming classes for you if you do this. I enjoyed those when I was an instructor and had a place to do it. I don't know how large the Perry instructional area was, but we could accomodate around a dozen students at a time.

Come to think of it, we might do better to teach these on restricted land. Most people own land that only be formed four meters from the bake. You can't set a terraforming limit inside a subdivision can you? It affects the whole sim. I'll come to the meeting if I'm home by then. I can teach a video preferences (local lag busting) class too.

I think Cabinhead is an awesome idea. A question to consider though - Can anyone attend these classes? Some are no longer newbies, but certainly are new to scripting or making flowers or tree transparencies. Will you filter out those that aren't new or invite all with newbies getting the first seats? Please know I do not in anyway have issue with what you are organizing. I think it is a fantastic idea. I'm just wondering if the classes under events will decrease as the teachers are teaching at Cabinhead and if so, then how will not so new players learn if they have difficulty taking them at Cabinhead? Only questions off the top of my head that you may have already considered, but if not will surely come up. People are truly what makes SL great and this venture proves it. Bravo!

There is good chance I'll not make it to the meeting tonight or not to all of it, last minute thing happened at work so may have to leave early to deal with it. Perhaps someone can post the basic minutes of this to Cabinhead forum and/or wiki as appropriate.

As I mentioned before, I still offer my Money Tree for transplant, though I will need group membership or similar way to do so. It will be setup same as what I have in Tavarua now, including the visitor counter (I don't save the info, just to get an idea how busy the tree is).

I've already reg-d on both forum and wiki. Angel, the wiki has class listing spots avail for more advanced classes, so I think its for anyone really. And as for myself, I may include something like a 102-style terraforming class ('The Art of Terraforming?') in addition to Q&A opportunities and/or assisting those to get fewer crashes on the client (without upgrades if possible).
