Oh yes. I remember when the blue and grey sims popped up, it was a hidden island, and i went totally broke teleporting back and forth!
I also remember AUTO FLIGHT! That was really cool. I used to wear an attachment that would lift me up into the air so I could auto-fly without running into buildings.
I remember when we could open clothes and see the texture. I remember when clothes WERE a texture. We could apply the texture to prims!
We could rez scripts, they would make a little box with "Script" written on them.
We could also rez landmarks and stuff.
And we always worried about losing prims up in the air, because the height taxes would kill us. I have *ahem* very fond memories of searching all over Blue with Bosozoku's cool sensor gadget, because I had lost a couple of prims somewhere
I remember the old permissions system, which enabled group permissions by default, and let everyone in your group move and delete your house
Lots of juicy drama there.
I remember hunting for public objects and deleting them for cash.
I remember the day when most of the world went public and everything became empty
