my longest romance actualy started in "There" and continued into SL and lasted a glorious 8 months. SHe is still very dear to me and we are great friends. my current SL romance is only a couple of weaks old but we are both very happy and looking forward to a life time together in RL and SL.

My relationship with Taeja Diaz started nearly two years ago in The Sims Online, where we first met, and progressed to a RL relationship. I don't often reply to SL relationship threads because I don't really think of our relationship as being an "SL relationship" even though we both are actively involved in SL, since it did not originate here. For the purposes of this poll, it would definitely fall in the 16+ weeks category

It isn't real, in my oppinion. Lets face it, a lot more succesful relationships happen in real life. And in my experience, i may be wrong, but it is not only easier to find a woman in a real life, but it's more fufilling for both of you. Also, i think you owe your partner more than an avatar and a few animations.

I'm curious.. are the majority of SL 'romances' truly virtual and enacted in a rollplay kind of way or is it a case of SL merely being the method of communication? I guess I'm wondering how many people have RL girlfriends/wives and different SL girlfriends/wives? hmmm interestin. |

well, i had an authentic replica of a romance once. but then chip would not marry me and it all became a faux relationship.... then my true motives were found out and it went into arbitration. the lawyers are still talking to each other.. so uhmmmm gosh, i think its been a year now?? some day i am gonna get a grip on chips finances...er... affection.

My thoughts are and come from the results of, either your looking for an online relationship or your just here to socialize online and not lookin for anything more than that (socializing) I'm new to the secondlife style and really enjoy the totally positive atmosphere. as i am here just for the interaction only. Just a shout out to all you veterans when you run any classes on clothing shoes and building (creating these things give me a shout i'd like to learn. I'm planning on making this (secondlife) my cyberhome.
