Ok, I just asked a friend of mine (who shall go nameless) and he will consider funding tartarus. HOWEVER, I need to get a poll to see if we can profit off this (since he owns a company, he wants to see profits!). First thing I need to do is poll Second Life residents, please answer the following questions, if you do I will pay you 10L$ in game. Now, onto the questions! Sorry for abrupt post, but im incredibly excited! 1.Would you play Tartarus?(Tartarus Information Here) I have been excited reading about Tartarus before, and I know I have asked you several times about the project, Ryen, as I am a YUGE cyberpunk fan. I came to SL in part looking for more of this, and the Deus Ex spirit. So, my answer is YES. 2.How much would you be willing to spend on the Tartarus battle system, the apartments, and other misc tartarus items? (Weapons, vehicles, armor, furniture, clothing) I'm certainly enchanted to find out how well what works in Tartarus works outside of it -- for example, furnishing my home with some very techy deco. The immersion's going to be part of it but the apartments -- hey, if that's like Case's digs in Neuromancer, then I have a good feeling about this. Put my initial spendage at L$1000, perhaps L$2000 -- I'd actually have to see what I'd be buying, obviously. If more stuff gets rolled out over time, then multiples of this would be the case (pun intended?). 3.How much time would you spend in Tartarus (Considering we have a large population)? I could see myself getting addicted. I'm hoping for a sizeable Tartarus community, as dystopian futures tend to feel more oppressive with packed cities.  Put me in at an early committment of this being a home for me too if I'm comfortable. And like I said, if I got addicted and some really magical stuff happened in the nu-city, I might as well spend several hours a day for those points in time. A key thing for me is that it takes place in the future but not so distant that it's removed from what I can relate to in regards to spending time here. For example, 2050-2150 A.D.4. Would you mind an occasional advertisement (in the form of billboard or radio ad that fits in with the theme)? (Please answer no, since this MAY lower our costs) NO, I wouldn't mind, since as we know, advertising is the name of the game in such epics as Blade Runner. HA HA HA. Just keep the billboards holographic, and in some cases, ingeniously subersive and intrusive. Thank you for reading, and thank you for your participation in tartarus! You're most graciously welcome. Also note that the price wont be over 1 day, tartarus is an ongoing project which will last months if not years. 1. Yes, it sounds quite interesting, and I like the theme. 2. 1-2k Linden or so. As long as the vehicles actually work, mind you.  3. I couldn't say yet, as I haven't seen anything of it. Perhaps you should build a small prototype that people can try out/see? 4. Considering my SL time is limited right now, no more than an hour to see what it's like. 4. 1. Yes, sure -- I'd play. I like shooting things : )
2. If it's good I'd probably spend a few k to buy stuff like weapons, and spend a couple of hundred weekly, I reckon 3. A few hours a week, perhaps. 4. Ads - I wouldn't be bothered by city billboards as long as they fit in. _____________________
