I've used this Forum av of mine for about... let's see... not quite a decade, but it's been at least 8 good years. My mind tunes into visual cues like it well, so I like to have a symbol for myself, and way to pick up on other people's posts when I'm scanning the left-hand sidebar. I'm like "Oh!" and a little light goes off in my mind. It helps me to parse information and I am appreciative of the humor that goes along with it.

there are so many people on the forum that i've never met in sl that i'm used to recognizing them by their forum avatars. like if i met Torley in game it would be weird if her head wasn't a black cube with a red and orange X thing on it.

From: Eggy Lippmann Why do so many people NOT have a forum avatar? It freaks me out. Get one! I'll teach you how to do it. Heck, I'll help you make one. It's just a 50x50 picture... not rocket science eggy I want a flash one...will you hook me up? i also need a major inventory clean up in world. i only have 200 objects named "objects", 500 photos named "photo", and only a few hundred article of clothes named "new shirt, pants, skirt".... thankee

Apathy. too long; didn't read. ALSO: Changed mine, just 'cause I need to stay ahead of the curve or something. That and Lucah Solvang did a great image of my av.

I look exactly like my forum avatar! Well. Sometimes! I made a little Eggy object that I can attach and scripted it to play the meatball animation, hiding my av mesh inside the attachment

LOL! Awww Zuzi... funny you mentioned this, 'cuz I happened to do this for a bit yesterday. Haha -- I used my avface on here for awhile, but it was too hard for me to see and not as clear as my symbol. So, when are we meeting inworld? Where do you usually hang out and such? =)

aye, everytime I make an av for a forum, the next forum I get involved with has a smaller av size, and the old ones won't downsize into anything intelligible. So, I just grabbed a random 50x50 pic from my hard drive this time.
