Newbies are always fun to listen to... they say things like
"I'm gonna own a whole sim, and build a city, after I start a buisness." And some of them never come back... I remember wanting to own a really cool looking nightclub on a 512 in a PG sim... then I opened a really crappy house buisness in a unknown mall (sorry to those two people who bought <monster truck voice>EXTREME</monster truck voice>ly crappy houses from me!) Come on, post, post like there is a tommorow, but it's a Thursday, and your mother-in-law is coming over.  _____________________

Wha? Bingo card? Fish sandwhich? mmmmmmm fish sandwhich... You used to have to pay to rez prims in Second Life. That was changed with the release of Version 1.2 of SL. _____________________

I remember when I first started, I went to Busy Bens, and I wanted this mountain bike they had for sale. So I bought it, but didn't realize that it was in my inventory. Or that you even had to rez something... I bought it five tmes, and ran out of money  !_____________________

I had many things I wanted to do. Make a yuge checklist, in fact. Most of the items are checked off now, but I keep adding more.
One of them was learn how to do fancy schmancy particle effects. I used to watch Kenzington Fairlight in the skybox (before Aimee turned it into an floating tavern) with much amazement. It looked so complicated and intricate to me. It still amazes me. Ah, how time flies. _____________________

build a tree, candy showed me how. come to think of it, she loaned me the lindens to rez my first bingo card too ha ha ha i had to play with it laying on the ground because i didn't know how to rotate it.

I was very dillusional when I actually thought that I could build a mansion on my first 512m. Was very dissapointed when I went to rez my first peice of furniture only to get that lovely blue pop up "parcel is full".

SL is unlimited as far as I can see. Well, well, I guess I wanted to find out what LL had as a task list for their developers, and that wasn't very clear.. _____________________

Appear out of a lamp Still not done it If you ask someone that plays with particles nicely you can probably do it with one of the 'poofer' type things - as you tp it generates one lamp-textured particle by your feet. With a second one you could even get the traditional puff of smoke too... |

Well, I'm still considered a newb, I'm almost two weeks old now. My first priorty was to get my avatar really hot and get her soem sexy walks and such, I just could'nt stand the poor thing being ugly. Second line of Business was to get a job, done. ANd of course to get some sexy clothes, and I had a friend from there give me some Lindens to start off with so thats done too.... now what.... make some new friends I guess.....

Appear out of a lamp Still not done it here's an idea. what if you enclosed you av in invisibility textured prims and had a lamp object attached as well. then: a - you dragged your av folder onto yourself and it had an attachment for smoke or better still b - you said a command that created smoke coming out of the lamp. under the veil of smoke, your primswitched to clear transparency textures instead. what do you think? _____________________
