My gut feeling about you is vulgar, but i don't say it because i am mature, perhaps the difference between us is one of us has to say whatever is on our mind at the moment and the other one doesn't.

I always love humor like this. Can't we have more laughter and less anger?

I congratulate you on your ability to make incredibly detailed and well backed judgements and arguments such as "you are REALLY stupid" and "U fag", concerning the subject matter, you truley are increadible.

He also failed to realize that in English coordinate constructions, case assignment is not as clear cut as prescriptivist grammarians would have us believe. A lot of other factors seem to influence the use of nominative or accusative case in conjoined noun phrases in informal English. If you were writing a formal essay, then maybe he would have a point, but you are posting on an internet forum, so he's just being an ass.

Sorry, a friend of mine was on my PC and assumed he was logged into his account.. Not the first time it has happened, either.

However, I do have to concurr with his statement. It *should* be "My friends and I", as the current way the title of the topic is phrased makes one seem ignorant.

Secondly, if you do not realise why you, your friends, your brother, and your sister were all banned (the rather apparent reason being that you are minors), yes, you fall under the aforementioned catagory.

Firstly, only one of us is a minor, and that person does not own their own account. And you are making pre-judgements which is a high form of ignorance, and again this just proves you are stupid, and would lead me to believe the first post was by you. When someone picks (incorrectly) on your use of language, especially in an informal situation, you know they really have no reason to be posting. I think it is evident you are a minor.

From the whole tone of how you write, and what you say, it's obvious you're a minor.

You are NOT mature. You may be physically older than 18, but you have the mind of a 12 year old. Or so it appears.

They already think they have it to themselves. Notice how every account created less than six months ago is called an alt. There are never any new players; it's as if they believe no sane person would want to join a game with such a lame established playerbase. And maybe they have a point.

Two rules for living a happy Second Life:

1) Everyone you meet is male.
2) Every new acquaintance you meet is the alt of someone you already know. See rule 1.

I've never seen an online environment whose success depended crucially on expanding where people are so hostile to newbies.

Motor City Online. The Sims Online. Ultima Online. Dark ages of Camelot. Subspace. Infantry. Shattered Galaxy. Everquest. World of Warcraft. Lineage (1 and 2).

SL actually treats newbies comparatively well, because it's a Good Thing to do so in the game's contexts. If you're an asshole, you're going to be eventually called on it by the 4 dozen or so people you pissed off. Thus, your business gets a bad reputation, you stop making money, and you "lose". Or you get a bunch of neg rates and you "lose". Or whatever.

In the other games, newbies are INCESSENTLY prayed on. Mostly griefing, scamming, and outright hostile actions (A level 34 Orc running through and killing all the newbies in the newbie area in World of Warcraft... getting sniped incessantly for cheap greens in Subspace. Being called a "fucking noob" for asking questions in Everquest, and having absolutely ZERO help by anyone (including game creators). Rampant, perpetual player-killing in Lineage 2, with no way to combat it (how many level 3s does it take to kill a level 40? Anyone?) Being scammed for cars and parts in Motor City Online.

The list goes on and on. SL actually has a rich history of helping out folks, if not always from the community, then ALWAYS from the game creators (anyone with a Linden tag). Even if it's not their specific job (ie you're messaging the webmonkey instead of the Liason on Duty), they'll try their best to help you out.

Oh, and the volunteer Live Helpers.

And the thousands of things given out for free to newbies in need.

And the Instructor/Mentor programs.

And so on.

IT could be worse... noob :)

That was you? You bloody wanker! I just wanted to fly my leviathan in peace, thank you.

I'm astonished anybody else actually remembers that game. Subspace was an awesome game, but I finally gave it up last year.

I was probably unclear; I was referring specifically to the forums.

Otherwise, yes, it's all very good.

Just seeing if my name on the general forum page can kill this thread as well. I can only hope.

lol one orc? I shall post a lovely story from ffxi lol... there is two groups of gil sellers competing on a server, and welll.... read the story yourself here

this is a 4 chapter story and I was laughing so hard I started crying. Mind you the place this all happened in is a lvl 70+ area and these groups try to turn real cash off of FFXI. On that note this also happens alot in lower lvl areas as high lvls want to farm that area and to hell with the poor souls trying to get their support job quest completed. I actaully can say that I made it through Valkurm Dunes and Qufim Island without 1 death ^_^. so far the server im on isnt so bad.
