Tehama 01 in auction is a player mistake do NOT BID on this plot please

PLEASE ALL, note that the plot Tehama 01 which has just appeared in auction is a PLAYER mistake , my friend Trinity Serpentine accidentally released her land in a group land transfer and DOES NOT and DID not intend to do this. This is a PLAYER ERROR and is NOT intended.
This land is NOT honestly and willingly released and the LINDENS have been IM and emailed to tell them this. Despite this the LINDENS obstinate and unfair do not take any action and refuse to remedy this player's mistake.

I appeal to ANYONE who wants to BID for this land NOT to bid and to contact Trinity Serpentine and find out the truth in this.

REMEMBER THIS COULD BE YOU AND YOUR LAND COULD BE AUCTIONED OFF BY MISTAKE AT THE WRONG TOUCH OF ONE BUTTON. THERE IS CURRENTLY NO SAFEGUARD, NO LOCK, AND NO WARNING CONFIRM MESSAGE ON HITTING THE RELEASE LAND BUTTON in some circumstances when doing a group transfer this can eaisly be mistaken.

ANYONE GREEDY AND UNCARING WHO ATTEMPTS TO BUY THIS LAND WILL KNOW THAT EVERYONE ELSE IS AWARE OF THIS MISTAKE. PLEASE DO not BID ON THIS AUCTION.

There are signs on the land itself, and all the remaining land around this plot is owned by myself and Trinity, and this land is NOT genuinely for sale, its an honest and easy to make player error. I urge all players to IM or email a LINDEN as this could happen to YOU anytime.

DO NOT bid against us for this land please. it has for a LONG time belonged to Trinity and she has NO Intention or desire to sell this land. If you do bid for this land you will be deliberately trying to benefit by another person's mistake.

Land Barons be warned.

PLEASE will and TRINITY and TIERNAN's friends email and IM the Lindens and lets all press for some security control to stop this happening to YOU?

Have you even bothered to contact a linden about this?

I recently had an mistake happen in lusk estates, and a linden fixed this up within 2 days.

Chage, I personally wrote and called them. They said there was nothing that they could do once it went up for auction. That it could not be pulled and that they were not going to show any preferential treatment.

OH NO! Trin, what is keeping you from buying the land back right now? Are you just bidding in the auction and hoping that no one outbids you?

How typical of Linden Lab. How hard would it be to just cancel the auction? Even eBay lets you do that.

hmmm that doesn't make sense. They have stepped in before in these cases and rectified the situation.

They say they discussed it in depth this morning and there's nothing they can do about it. I'm not going to rant and pout. I'm not going to bully. I've asked, they've said no.

I wonder if they arent going to help people anymore because of the thread about everyone complaining saying there biased.

Trinity - as I said on your other post, neither my friends nor I will bid. In addition, if you need any L$ to buy it back please let me know. I don't have masses, but probably enough to help you buy it back if someone does bid against you.

Its really about time LL sorted out all these problems with land.

How hard is it for them to just add a note on the auction and say, "Sorry this land isn't really for auction, Don't place any bids."

I hope you get it back, Trin. I love Tehama and you guys worked hard to keep it the way it is. It's very upsetting that you're not getting decent customer support for this.

I agree Lash - why the hell can't they withdraw it from sale? Are they so desperate for a few dollars? It stinks.

Thank you Lash and Latonia for the support. I'm just going to keep watching the auction to make sure no one bids on it but if they do, well I guess I'll do what I have to to keep my land, my home.

I am very sorry to hear about your unfortunate incident. These things are bound to happen since we petitioned LL to remove public land. May I suggest making sure you are the highest bidder, as it is possible the winning bidder can use extortionary tactics once won. I would contact all the major land barrons....

You know this is kind of unfair in the sense that who knows what could have happend I mean if her ISP had died when she was doing it and couldnt log back in for a day then what?

Sorry this is rediculiously unfair and inconsiderate especially with a flaw in the system that tends to lean towards someone else benifiting of the accidental loss of another and knowing the Loss was an accident after seeing it posted here.

Oh well I wish you the best of Luck hun I hate that has happend to you. This is another example of why things Need to be Fixed first before exploring fun new things.

I think Schwanson is right - you should contact all the land barons and explain the circumstances, asking them not to bid. God knows if they will or not, but its worth a try.

Come on Lindens, do the right thing.

I have no idea who the land barons are. I lead a fairly quiet SLife. I've never owned any other land but the land in Tehama. If anyone wants to IM me a list of Land Barons, I'd be greatful and I will attempt to contact them IW tonight.

People have been asking for some kind of confirmation on the Release button for months and months. This sort of thing happens often enough because of that bad UI design that LL should make it a high priority to fix. In the mean time, users who are burned by what is actually a usability BUG should not have to suffer for it.
