How about Mount Doomy-doom-doom-doomity-DOOM?

LOL.... that's hilarious! I like it. How cool would it be to tell your friends, 'I'm going to go check out Mount Doomy-doom-doom-doomity-DOOM, wanna come with?' :D

Thanks for info, Siobhan. I guess there is indeed some complicated history behind it. Eventually we're going to need SL archeologists. Oh, I guess we do have Salazar, but he specializes in ancient civilization :)

Perhaps Oz Spade, Merwan Marker or another member of the Second Life Historical Society can help shed light on the history of the Lime/Plum area since Linden Lab came on the scene. I'm not very familiar with the recent happenings there since I have spent most of my time south of Immaculate after coming here in February, just about a year ago.

The only thing I know about that area, prior to The Erase, is what's been told me by my great grandma, Cessadia Thetan. She and my great grandpa, Ombrelto, used to have a large farm where the De Haro area is now. They would go camping and fishing farther north quite a bit. That area was all wilderness back then I guess.

It appears that Fleabite has owned the land since Dec 20th. I don't know if this is permanent or part of the Linden sim-renting program they came out with a bit back. But it seems in-line with it since the renters do get ownership of the land for the time they rent so they can do appropriate terraforming/building.

Remembering Lynn Lippmann's conversion of like 4 of the vehicle sims to a big Flintstones-styled flea market...

I seem to remember something about Plum/Lime having a different Welcome Area design at some point, hence why the telehub is in one sim and the pads are in another. Teleport there enough though, and sometimes you'll end up on the t-hub platform instead of down on the pads. Depends on the load I guess.

As Salazar said, ask the guys @ the SL Historical Society, or check out that SL History wiki at Profnano.org, might be more info those ways.

If only i could keep that nice slice of plum and it's 6020 prims! The Lindens have been kind enough to donate the land temporarily to the Cartel de Juarez for the Memorial Project. I hold the land as "custodian" for the time being. =^_^=
