Civil Rights Advocate for persons with disabilities - retired Advertising Empty Suit. (Not retired as in old, although maybe old-ish wouldn't be inaccurate.) The money stinks, but the Karma is to die for.

3D artist / designer at a small UK independant games dev company. I also do the odd lecture on 3DsMax and Photoshop at the local college, although thats for the love of sharing knowledge rather than the pitiful pay.
I also play the drums in a local rock band, but that pays worse than the lectures! I would give it all up in an instant, if I could work in SL for real money!!! One day... |

Darwin don't know if you meant me with the family business question -- but the business itself has been going for about 70 years in one form or another. Now we own a lot of real estate, grocery stores, that kind of thing. All in one small town . Zana |

Unemployed, slacking through college, living off of mom and enjoying the carefree poverty of youth while it lasts. I can assure you that when I'm old and wealthy I will be a lot less happy and reminisce about the good old days when I scrounged up all the forgotten pennies in the house in order to purchase such needless luxuries like chocolate donuts and a delicious bottle of coke

Sorry, Eggy. I couldn't resist. Anyway, I just finished by Bachelor's degree in Psychology and I am looking forward to starting my new job as a video game store employee (no joke, I start on Wednesday). _____________________

Congratulations Kats! You know, as a video game store employee, you're eligible to enter the E3 Expo?
Yes! Psychology is an interesting subject. I took an introductory psychology course last semester. I had more fun in Sociology though. Anyway if you have a degree in psychology, I suggest you study hypnosis and become an evil hypnodomme fulfilling people's deepest desires. That's a profitable entrepenurial venture. |

lolUnfortunately the only thing I get for being a video game store employee is the discount on video games. At least it's better than having to ask "Do you want fries with that?" (no offense to those who work in the fast food industry). The sad thing is that I couldn't even get a job in Mickey D's even if I wanted to (in Puerto Rico you have to be a participant of PAN, which is the puertorican version of welfare, to get a job in most of the fast food places). And Relee...I will definitely consider studying hypnosis. I will use it to take over the world and just because you suggested it, you have your choice of which country/state/kingdom you get to rule over ...except Australia, that one is mine. Dingos are soooo cute! ![]() _____________________

I like Canada. But I also want Iceland and Greenland. They should have been part of Canada anyway. Also Alaska.

Family business Chau? How long has it been going? I've seen some family businesses going for 50 or so years, and I really love the whole idea. Quite nice and old-fashioned. well ive been working for about 4 years now and did work on and off during the summers a bit before that too. we actually dont even have a registered business we just work under my dads name and all our customers almost are repeat customers anyway so we dont advertise. but the current situation i suppose has been going for about 15 years or so,thoguh my dads been doing this kind of work for about 50 years himself. heh and even at his age he can work harder and longer then any young guy except with more skill and experience then most people could hope to gather in a lifetime in the field. |
