All right, this post looks lonely, so I'll bite.

I currently manage and co-chair a small company with an annual budget of just under six figures. Our primary function is the facilitation of growth in our managed product and resources, as well as increasing our financial holding through careful investment and wise spending. I manage all financial matters, approve and implement most business-related purchases and ensure the smooth day-to-day functioning of company-related activities.

That's right, I'm a stay-at-home mom with two small children.

(I used to work as an academic counselor at a large state university, though... )

(least I'll never have to give name, rank, and serial number though)

I get to play with SQL, VB, and Crystal for our huge IS system... as well as help anyone in the office with any software question (not really my job, but hey, it's a nice break from the usual...) (8

Visiting Instructor at a small southern public university where I teach writing and composition. In my last year of graduate school as well, doing an MFA in Fiction writing. I am currently writing a collection of short stories set in Arkansas, where I grew up. I also own the local car wash with my husband as well as a small design firm where hubby makes pool cues, cases and other various billiard related products. We also both work for the family business in some capacity. I do a little design work for the family corp and hubby does a little management work.

College Student / Entrepenuer / Independant Video Game Programmer / Giant Robot Armour Smith / Mad Scientist / Mooch / Hardware Technician / Squirrel / Hat

Well okay, I'm not really a Giant Robot Armour Smith... That was a joke I used to do back on a text based MUD. I played a pixie cleric and my armour was pieced together from giants and ogres and stuff, so I reasoned that I must have turned the armour into a giant robot. :P

Full-time cubicle-dweller.

Specifically I'm a technical writer -- I write user manuals and help systems. I've been at this for close to ten years now.

And I dream wistfully about the day that I can write a nifty help system and manual for a game software company. (Any Lindens reading this?) :D

Family business Chau? How long has it been going? I've seen some family businesses going for 50 or so years, and I really love the whole idea. Quite nice and old-fashioned.
