Okay, I'm getting worried now. I've converted to a Lifetime Membership, but now, the faq is no longer saying anything about Lifetimers having their 9.95 a month premium waived. It just says that they will have their $25 a month land allocation fee waived.

Does this now mean that Lifetimers will be paying 9.95 a month if they want their "bonus" 4,096?

I asked a Linden in game, but. . .

Can someone answer here please.

How many shoes are gonna drop? How many feet does this 1.2 thing have?

If I just paid for a lifetime membership where I have to pay $9.95 a month for, I'll see Linden Labs in court :-)

I'm 99.999999% sure this is not the case, I've talked to multiple Lindens about it :-)

I'm DANG sure they aren't going pull anything like that, 'cause its fraud, and you can go to jail for fraud.

IANAL....but.....
MCRLOL (My company retains lots of lawyers)

Who LOVE pursuing fraud cases :-)

Don't worry, until someone tells you otherwise, I would trust Linden Labs---they are the good guys----

Some of the 1.2 changes are a 'wee' bit painful, but that is necessary for them to maintain their profitability.

Have faith,

No monthly preimium fee for Lifetimers: "Lifetime members are allocated 1/16 of a sim (4,096m2) with no monthly land use fees in recognition of their lifetime status."
according to the
official post

Um, the section Haney referenced says no "land use fees" Once again this is a case of different Lindens with different stories. It does NOT say anything about the monthy premium user fee. I guess only time will tell here, but don't be surprised if you get a $9.95 bill...

I think it used to say something about a $25 value and no premium fees. I don't see the word premium in it at all.

I need a Linden to say for the record Please:

"No land use fees. No premium charges". We used to have one type of fee, but then the Premium Charge was introduced to correct for the fact that we were told we wouldn't be charged as non lifetime members.

I really really don't mean to be crappy about this. I just. . .

wow (

Lifetime members will not have any monthly subscription fee.

Lifetime members will not have any monthly land use fee unless they own more land than their 4096 m^2 allocation.

It's that simple! ;-)

Thank you Robin for taking the trouble to continuously explain the same thing over and over to 300 people :D
Now would you mind explaining something. Let's say that I claim some land that pushes me over the 1/16th. Will SL warn me instantly that I am above my free share? How will I know without doing the math myself, and how long can I have to sort out my land usage before you guys send me an email asking me for more money?

Yes, Eggy, if you start to buy land that would push you into a new category that would trigger more $USD, then you will get a dialog box alerting you to the fact and directing you how to confirm.
