Software developer: C#, T-SQL, C++, VB6. For a credit reporting agency.

Also draw a VA disability check. Geez, disabled vets get nothing. I'm just glad my disabilities don't prevent me from holding down a real job!

Civil Rights Advocate for persons with disabilities, emphasizing on the rights of consumers of mental health services.

Which reminds me - write your congressfolks and say:

- That you are horribly disappointed that the Mental Health Equitable Care Act did not pass, and that you fully expect that they will work harder to get it through next session.

- That you do NOT support the "Family Budget Defense Act" (or whatever name the final ammendment to the budget bill will bear) which caps the growth of entitlement programs to two to three percent over the next ten years. Remind them that many of the entitlement programs grow at the rate of medical inflation, not consumer inflation, which is about 13% to 15% a year. Ask them how they think their constituants will feel when Medicare and Medicaid can't afford to provide necessary-for-life services. Remind them of the power of AARP.

- Urge them to support both MiCASSA and the president's "Money Follows the Person" bill, in order to allow persons with disabilities to live in the communities of their choice rather than to force them unnecessarily into instutions.

LOL, sorry you asked?

ER nurse. Work odd hours, long shifts, around strange people, many either clinically insane or intoxicated with one illegal substance or another. So I feel right at home in SL. lol

Finishing, after two years of construction, finally, an artisan bread bakery with a big ol' wood-fired bread oven. So I will soon be a sometimes ER nurse, sometimes baker. I'm still trying to figure out how I'm gonna overnight bread to Eggy.

Someone make us HIPPA SUCKS shirts, please to wear in-world.

And everyone PLEASE do what Bhodi says. They're all excellent suggestions. Too many people falling through the health-care cracks, and when they fall they fall hard and land with a thud in the emergency room.

What an amazing group of people here.

Officially, the oboe and English Horn.

Unofficially, I've been known, in my life, to have played piano, guitar, clarinet, and violin. NOT very well, at all.

These are very sad times to be an American but where is the rage among the citizenry? Where are the flag wavers who so laud the freedoms symbolized by a flag and written by quill pens in our constitution? Why are we not rallying in the streets against this sort of attrocity? Why because we are gluttonous lazy bastards who say it won't happen to me so who cares. --Ishtar Pasteur

I'm now a stay-at-home mom to my two kids, ages three and five. But I used to work as an academic counselor (or advisor) at a large state university. I miss helping out all the confused students trying to navigate their way through the academic system, and I miss a university atmosphere in general. Some day I'll get back to it, I hope.

Oh, and I have a "very useful" bachelor's degree in English with a minor in communication. ;)
