And what's wrong with 80s hair bands? :(

Okay, here are mine:

1. Duran Duran - Decade
2. Tori Amos - Under the Pink
3. Styx - Greatest Hits
4. Belly - Star
5. Any Def Leppard album.

I know someone said no greatest hits...but damn, that's too hard!!

(edited to include this P.S.)

P.S.

You know, I woulda guessed Chris's top five completely differenty. Here's what I would have thought would be on it:

1. Ballad of the Green Beret
2. Something by Johny Mathis - I mean, c'mon, isn't that what old folks play when they wanna get some?
3. Something by Willie Nelson - cause, you know, I like to imagine that there really is more to ol' Chris than we get to see!
4. Wagner - Die Walküre. I'm pretty sure that Chris does love the smell of napalm in the morning...
5. Jim Neighbors sings your favorite Patriotic songs... or something like that...

1. Decent Tune
2. Not no, but HELL NO! Old people maybe... I aint old though :) Personally, Anita Baker gets me laid around this humble abode.
3. OOF! Willie Nelson? Nah, but if required to take a redneck selection, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Blackfoot, Molly Hatchet or even The Outlaws would fill the bill.
4. WTF is this shit?
5. Jim Neighbors? Really? You would think i would own this POS? Go have yourself spanked already! JEEZ!

:D

Disclaimer so I don't get both barrels of Christopher: I have "Is This Love" and "Here I Go Again" and "In The Heat of the Night" in my MP3 playlist. It's just that my enjoyment of Whitesnake is ironic, not genuine.

Interesting Concept lol

Dont feel bad... I have "17" by Winger in mine.

If I were going to pick a guitar based album I'd have to take

Classical Gas - Tribute album by Tommy Emmanuelle

(and only because I can't remember what album Mason's original was on.....)

Siggy.

Joni Mitchell - Hejira

Mahavishnu Orchestra - Visions of the Emerald Beyond (or maybe Birds of Fire instead)

Morphine - Cure For Pain

Porcupine Tree - Lightbulb Sun (or Stupid Dream)

Grace - Jeff Buckley

And because I could never live with just five, here's five more I'd sneak...

Four Calendar Cafe - Cocteau Twins

Low - Trust

Misplaced Childhood - Marillion

Pentangle - Pentangle

Aja - Steely Dan

edit: oops, I forgot Blind by the Sundays. Aw hell, I can't live with just five, or ten, or 50. Shoot me now :)

So, Chris, I guess you and the wife would turn down my invitation to come over, toss a few Soy-Boy Not-Dogs on the ol' grill, pop open a few of my Organic Lager Homebrews (good batch this time - very hopsy!) and just chill out to the melodic tunes of the Grateful Dead at Harper's College?

:-D

05-16-2004 02:40
1. The Orb - Adventures Beyond The Ultraworld
2. LFO - LFO
3. Tori Amos - Little Earthquakes

5. ELO - Out Of The Blue

Too many missed out of this list.....!

Awe, Chris, and I here thought you were a family values, all for monogamy kinda guy! Maybe in my youth (the band, not the beer), but these days... I don't sleep with the band! :)

Can I just bring my iPod?

I guess I would have to go with:
  1. Oranges & Lemons - XTC The first one of theirs I bought, and still my favorite. I'd rather have all of them though.
  2. Factory Showroom - They Might be Giants Really though, any album, doesn't matter. (In other words, I can't pick just one).
  3. Le Fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain - Yann Tiersen Lovely soundtrack.
  4. Live at the Apollo - B.B. King The real King from Memphis.
  5. Rockin' the Suburbs - Ben Folds Ver' nice.

Picking only 5 is a crime, no one should be subjected to doing this!

Tough one, Bhodi. In no particular order, here are the ones that occur to me first because they've been in my collection a long time:

* Tom Waits, Closing Time

* Crowded House, Temple of Low Men

* The Cure, Standing on the Beach

* Love and Rockets, Hot Trip to Heaven

* William Shatner, The Transformed Man :D ("Mister tambourine maaaaaaaaan!!!!";)

I can't believe you would pick this over "Highway to Hell", Christopher!

My 5
David Bowie - Low
Velvet Underground - White Light White Heat
Exile on Main St - Rolling Stones
Remain In Light - Talking Heads
Parallel Lines - Blondie

That was almost impossible :( I couldn't even do 100 and feel remotely fair.

Can I have a best so far this year?

I love that album! Definitely one of my all time favorites. It was my introduction to XTC as well, and still their best imho.

Bleh! I've done search after search for this song and no one seems to have it. Maybe I was the only one who liked it. C'mon people, get some music I want to steal on your HDs!

If it's XTC, I have it. :)

My list is probably a bit out of date, as I haven't been updating it in a while due to lack of DJing, but.. clicky.

Note: This is not solicitation for people to beg me for mp3s, requests for such will probably be ignored. ;)
