Yep I'm here in the office, dealing with the last minute panics before Xmas as per usual, and orchestrating the IT hassle (badly phrased but I'll let it stand as it's about right :D ) for an office move no less - dumb time of the year to do it - managers - sheesh

Now I know why I haven't seen Aru Opel around for ages, got no reason to complain about my hours compared to that !

A very merry Yule, Xmas or whatever to everyone I know and everyone else I don't !

Be Happy :)

Dude you know I have a problem with you Korg. I have stated my feelings about you in other posts as well. You’re an inexcusable (edited to delete personal attack). You never have anything positive to say. You spew your negativity at everyone and anyone in attempt to make them as miserable as you. If you would agree to smoke it I would send it to you. You could benefit from the purple haze you mean spirited (edited to delete personal attack)! Merry fucking Christmas (edited to delete personal attack).

Ah well I'm 10 minutes away from heading off to the daily grind.

I'm locked into a good 'friday mindset' :

Don't matter how much assinine crap is thrown at me today...
Don't matter how much mayhem, death and utter stupidity I gotta watch today...
Don't matter one bit.

At 11:30 I'll be headin home and for the first time in 7 years I got Xmas off...

And nothin they do at work is gonna change that fact :P

See you guys at 'lunchtime'

Siggy.

I may be one of the few people in the Western world who thinks that the day before holidays is still a workday for which you are being paid to work.

If you want it off, take a sick day or a vacation day.

Otherwise, why should an employer pay you? To party? To be home?

The heck with the concept of "tradition" or "it would be nice if..." This is a business perspective. It has nothing to do wih religious tradition or recent expectations of entitlement that seem to be running rampant.

That being said, while in the military, I routinely ASKED to have the day off - so that I could then turn around and negotiate with those who didn't want to work that day/the holiday itself for big bucks. Over the two decades of military service, I actually had 2 Xmas days assigned work but worked all but 1. In that same period I probably earned over 3 grand by taking other people's duties. Holiday work has been 'berry 'berry good to me. Notably working the system, I can say that I didn't really have much to do on those work days as others seemed to think that we should be "at work"/working - so my supervisors usually had light or no work scheduled to actually be performed those days and we essentially sat around doing nothing/playing cards/having an "at work" party. Ah, to be able to make such money for so little effort again.

Sorry if I have no sympathy for those who are working tomorrow OR on New Year's Eve. No.. I am really not... but I said it anyway.

Korg - this song is for you! I understand that some people have to work holidays, I have had to as well - but that does not mean they have to like it, nor does it mean that we cannot sympathize.

The Grinch's Song

You're a mean one, Mr. Grinch
You really are a heel,
You're as cuddly as a cactus, you're as charming as an eel, Mr. Grinch,
You're a bad banana with a greasy black peel!

You're a monster, Mr. Grinch,
Your heart's an empty hole,
Your brain is full of spiders, you have garlic in your soul, Mr. Grinch,
I wouldn't touch you with a thirty-nine-and-a-half foot pole!

You're a foul one, Mr. Grinch,
You have termites in your smile,
You have all the tender sweetness of a seasick crocodile, Mr. Grinch,
Given a choice between the two of you I'd take the seasick crocodile!

You're a rotter, Mr. Grinch,
You're the king of sinful sots,
Your heart's a dead tomato splotched with moldy purple spots, Mr. Grinch,
You're a three decker sauerkraut and toadstool sandwich with arsenic sauce!

You nauseate me, Mr. Grinch,
With a nauseous super "naus"!,
You're a crooked dirty jockey and you drive a crooked hoss, Mr. Grinch,
Your soul is an appalling dump heap overflowing with the most disgraceful
assortment of rubbish imaginable mangled up in tangled up knots!

You're a foul one, Mr. Grinch,
You're a nasty wasty skunk,
Your heart is full of unwashed socks, your soul is full of gunk, Mr. Grinch,
The three words that best describe you are as follows, and I quote,
"Stink, stank, stunk"!

You kow Rose, I had almost lost a bet with myself that you would stay out of his and not make a nasty retort.... Guess what? I won. Thanks.

For those of you still miffed, peeved, inconsolable and just plain stunned at my initial post... reread it.

I didn't say anything in particular about Ingrid's post or her reaction. Did I? Nope.

I expressed my own disgust at the current "poor me, I am entitled" attitude that has become evident in the work force today. I also expressed my own view of how to make holiday "duty" work for me.

Some of you apparently do need to take literacy lessons and quit reading into things --- or go get some of Darko's purple haze and continue to delude yourselves that you actually did understand what you think you read.

Which Korg can spew the most hateful diatribes in one hour?

My bet is a tie between Korg and Korg! :D

Uh. Before posting... you might want to look up what a dictionary defines as an attack.

I painted an image. If your sensibilities couldn't handle it and you were offended, there's not much I can do about it.

However, posting a reference to TOS does not make my post an attack... and you should look at your own before even suggesting any such thing.
