Same problem here. I get into the game and can move around, but my AV is invisible and I can't build or use the find menu!

It always ALWAYS takes me about 4 times to connect, then when i get in, my profile is gone to half of SL and everythings fugging invisible... this also happens to fred

I'm inworld and can't read profiles -- they show up as blanks. Also, having trouble stalking... er... searching for friends on Map. TWHORELY! That is what happens to my profile, last time a linden had to log in as me and he seemed to fix it, although he did make my profile picture a carpet texture o.O But i had to redo my ENTIRE SEXAY profile, and I cannot remember who i love and who i loathe anymore *cries* Currently for the past week, well since 1.5.7 actually, my profile to me is blank, cept for picks and groups, but i cannot change it at all, the ok button is permenently shaded over.. YES IT SUCKS... Today is a bad day, and it just got worse... I am indeed losing the will to live, AND play SL _____________________

It's great to see that Second Life has become much more stable since the asset server change and the apparent changes in 1.5.7 to reduce load on the asset server. Isn't this the second time in a few days that it's gone down like this (/120/de/27503/1.html).
I thought it was supposed to be getting more stable? Seems like we're going through a rash of bad instability again instead. And yesterday, a "network glitch" caused 30 odd sims to go offline for a while as well. In the brief times I've been in-world since 1.5.7 nearly everybody seems to be invisible apart from their attachments as well - isn't that something else that was supposedly fixed? _____________________

We (being Doug and myself) are up and working on this problem. Sorry, should have posted here earlier but it's 3:45AM here. Let you know what we find; initial investigation seems to indicate that MySQL locked up during a backup run. |
