Well, not personally. Ive seen many of your posts however and noticed that your spelling and sentance construction is very good ;) As for tossing a classified ad into your post, who gives a damn, your leaving anyway. Not sure if we have argued any points over your message board career, but I'll say its been a pleasure anyway. Best of luck in your future endeavors and wish you most well.

I tried to leave twice in 2005 but it was not to be. I had a shop set up and the land was for sale, I'd stopped playing on both occasions and was waiting for the land to sell before canceling my account. Both times though I was sucked back in as I saw a significant rise in sales that I could not ignore. So now I have accepted that SL's fate and my own are interlocked and that I am here for the long haul. I used to play SL exclusivley which I think is why i got so frustrated and ocasionally bored. Nowadays I balance it with other games and that seems to have kept my interest to play SL alive for the last year. My advice is to take a break. Give it a month and if are not being drawn back into the game then cancel your account.

I've known some people, including myself, who grew to both love and hate Second Life. I even deleted an account once, but it wasn't because I was leaving.

Anyway... I don't know you, though I wonder why you posted that you were leaving >.>;

I live by this; When something's lost it's appeal, or what made it a joy, or fun, then it's time to stop playing. Second Life is just a thing, it's the people who make it what it is. If it wasn't for the people I think quite a few of us, not all, but a lot, would consider leaving after the bullshit we've been through in regards to bugs and poor decision making. Yet we persist. I knew of one person who went through this kinda phased hissy-fit, where she'd consistently create an alt, delete her old account, be happy for a little while, suddenly feel rejected, quit for a bit, come back, feel even more rejected, seek acceptance or attention, find none, delete her account, and just when you thought she was gone for good, create a new alt. I've seen her do it about four or five times now, and it's quite amusing. But to her this is what SL is about.

And I think to everyone SL is about something different. It's about your friends, your ability to create, cause mischeif, own land, be with your significant other, go dancing, whatever. I think before I'll ever quit, the one thing I will do is force myself to sit down and think; Have I done everything I can do here? Have I accomplished all I set out to accomplish, and is there nothing left I love at all?

Nothing is ever perfect. SL is a perfect example of that. Nothing is ever perfect, and nothing has to be perfect to be perfectly enjoyable.

Everything Broken said!

The mystery .. the unknown .. is what drags me back again and again. I have two characters. One has two jobs. Such diversity! RL circumstances have left me with a lot more time on my hands than I used to but I'd much rather sit, struggling with tps that don't work, logouts, restarts, updates and griefers than have my brain sucked out through a straw watching tv.

I spend much of my SL time with my long distance (75 miles) RL fiancee. When she's not online there are still so many opportunities.

Annabelle, less than 512sm? Why not leave it a month or two? You've no tier.

One day you'll be sitting in a waiting room or on a bus and you'll say to yourself "I wonder how many prims that hairstyle is" .. and you'll be logged back in when you get home.
