From: Billy Grace That's your bias liberal opinion I suspect based on the endless Bush bashing techniques of your liberal politicians and the liberal media. I will happily agree to disagree here. Just remember that there are other opinions than yours with just as good reasons for our opinions. Do not take my response as a flame please. It was intended as a response only. I have no interest in this exploding into a flame war and simply ask that you respect my opinion as I do yours. Oh I don't find your responses to be flaming at all. Our perceptions are merely different. It was not my intention to flame you if you thought I was. I find Karl Rove to be an abhorrent personality, that is all

From: Joy Honey Doubtful he'd have made it past round one if it were not for Karl Rove and the slime machine dragging John McCain through the mud.... oh well No, McCain lost because he is perhaps the most liberal Republican holding office. I do not see him having much of a chance in the next election either... for the same reason.

Ah, I believe he has already said he's not going to run because of his age, has he changed his mind? I do recall hearing some upset about McCain and his mental capacities in regards to his time spent as a POW. Maybe I'm just mis-remembering. I will never change my opinion about Karl Rove. It would not matter if he were the brains behind any Democrat, either. Something really "used-car/snake-oil salesman" about him that just sets me on edge.

Ironically, I find George Bush's personality fine. I still didn't vote for him.

From: Rickard Roentgen Personally my parents almost always cancel each other out . Well, dig this: I have been married for close on three decades now, and never once has my husband told me who he voted for. I'm not particularly politically rabid or anything. He simply won't. And for close on to three decades now, I've found that rather astonishing. And while I'm on the subject, here's two other things I've never been able to get him to do: (1) Shave off his mustache (2) Dress in drag - which would be a hoot, given (1) and his overall macho-ness! Imagine being married to someone you have never seen with a naked face! That may be even more astonishing. coco

Heh, they don't know they cancel each other out. Dad's very up front about who he votes for, and mom always either grins and nods or just tells him she voted the same way, but we usually end up talking about it later when he's not around and she very rarely votes the same way.
and my dad didnt' shave his 'stach off until the age of 40, so something like 15 years after getting married. He had a full beard when he got married. That came off before I was born though.

From: someone I can't bitch-slap her for it, because she's my mother and violence never solved anything. Education is probably out of the question, because she "is set in her ways." The only person she really listens to about politics is my brother (Fox News addict). How do I ensure she never votes again??? Have her declared mentally unfit and place her in a nursing home under heavy medication. On election day, bring her a present and tell her it is Christmas. That is the only solution. If you don't do it, you hate America.

From: Stankleberry Sullivan That's insane, you don't talk about politics at all with him? You must know who he votes for, he just doesn't tell you or admit to it, right? Isn't it, though! Yes, I talk some politics with him, but I have to tell you, even after all this time, I really have absolutely no idea who he votes for. If I had to decide anything, it would be that he used to vote one way, and now votes another. Or maybe switches off a lot. He won't ever let on to anyone how he votes. coco P.S. Haha - I went down to get ice for my coke, and asked my husband, "Who did you vote for in the last election?" He said, "I'm not going to tell you. You can tell me who you voted for if you want, but I'm not going to tell you." Me: "Why not?" Him: "Cause it's a private thing, right? Me: ....... Him: "Right?" Me: "Not particularly . . ." Him: "Yes it is, it's a private thing." Oh well . . . maybe I will get it out of him on his deathbed someday. coco
