From: Tcoz Bach It is fascinating to see them erode expectations of just being left alone and enjoying the game without worrying about being observed and having your in game activity compiled and handed out to any and all takers.
"8.2 Linden Observation. You acknowledge and agree that Linden, in its sole discretion, may track, record, observe or follow any and all of your interactions within the Service. Linden may share general, demographic, or aggregated information with third parties about our user base and Service usage, but that information will not include or be linked to any personal information without your consent."
When I log on, and off, is my business. And I would object to LL sharing that data. I believe you just sandwiched "not giving consent" in your post. (Thanks, bold tag!)

From: Seth Kanahoe C'mon, people! Sekhonde Lyfe is a big country! Isn't there room for paranoia here, too? And in a big country, dreams stay with you.....

No one gives a rats ass when you personally sign on and off. However, aggregate data on knowing that users spend an average of x number of hours daily is very useful. So is knowing what peak usage times are for resource planning. LL has every right to share that kind of data as they see fit. It very clearly states they will not share personally identifiable information. This is much ado about absolutely nothing.

Four stars, and welcome to page three!
Sorry Cristiano you're on ignore * Mary had a little lamb *. I can't hear you!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now let's see who takes that bait. One of you will. You can't help it. Ye the malleable. Thou Linden suckup!
And now I know how to embarass one of you. All for the price of posting some of the user agreement and a calmly, if somewhat snidely, stated opinion!
You want me, you need me...dare I say it? Dare I? Of course, but later. Because, one of you will leave me the opening. You can't help it. You never can.
I find this AMAZINGLY funny. I am chortling in my chair. CHORTLING! Perhaps soon outright guffawing. Nay perhaps. You'll get me there.
This is what makes SL a great game.
Oops! Almost tripped. Damn holes in the sand.

Yes my subjects, sing for me, sing songs of grandness, post your arts! Now, back to the sandbox with you all. Your holes are still warm, the fleas still snug.
Cristiano, continue your unheard tirades! You're in the room, but muted. And that arrangement satisfies me. It's one of the few things I have to thank LL for.
Run along now, this audience is concluded. Linden, you now have my leave to lock or delete this thread. I am satisfied with this refreshment of my notoriety.
Until next time, and remember, come up for air now and then...
...four stars and three pages!
